First Sim Creation

So out of the traits, aspirations and careers that we have seen first hand and/or read news about being in-game. How will you make your first Sim or Sim family? What traits and aspirations will you give your sims? Will you have your Sim explore the town or jump right into a career and skill building? Do you have legacy sims you plan to re-make in Sims 4? Did you figure out stories you might want to create with your Sims?

I know this might sound nerdy, but I already mapped out every single family I will be re-making in Sims 4 and even went as far as figuring our new names for old sims just to give them a "new start" if that makes sense.

I've planned out 6 sims, 3 females, 3 males and have done them a back story and what jobs they have. I've decided to do 6 single sims and see what they get up to, they're all very different so I hope to see some awesome situations!!

You definitely should! You can just jump straight into gameplay instead of wondering what to do first. I didn't plan out anything with Sims 3 just went blindly into gameplay. I wasn't sure what to do (I was too excited and didn't know what to do with myself) so this time I figured I'd plan out at least what Sims I want to create and let the story create itself.

I probably will, I love LOVE story telling, I've changed my mind as well, two of them will go out but will eventually break up AHHH, drama!

Anger issues is one way to put it

I'm intending on playing out a queer household drama.. with a single (or divorced) woman (ambitious and romantic but noncommittal; maybe switch out romantic for bro.) with two kids

( her own or her partners - the partner might exist at the start but will probably be moved out quickly... I think she would be family oriented, cheerful, foodie) living with her two brothers and their boyfriends/husbands... (and complicating things more by making each of 'em the biological fathers of the kids.)

the brothers I'm leaning towards some duality - not exactly making them exact opposites (probably just stereotypical geek and freak vs preps and jocks; geek vs bro) but trying to play out some rivalry- but probably better illustrated in that I'm planning for them to have more chemistry with the partner of the other brother than that of their own. -- the kids/teens will likely have some rivalry too though more on point for rivalry.

household jobs, creative and tech, although I suspect ms noncommittal might actually be a secret agent. ;x

--- and it is based off one some people I know.. that I'll undoubtedly be updating on the progress of their sim characters. ;p

Actually as I am a bit of an arse and lazy, I've been thinking of doing a few mock ups of various cliques I'm affiliated with... a couple forum groups, YT personalities (Miles Jai tops that list.. but I'll likely have to mod stuff and I'm lazy.), and throwing in the random troll -- playing something out like kpuff's sim survival games.
