The world map is perfect! No more 80 houses cuz we never used them. WE all mostly used at least 1 to 5 houses. I am very satisfied how it build that way. Only I would re-texture on grass. The mod may fix the height on teens to be shorter a little bit. That's it! I can't wait to build/deco...

exactly. when i play there is no need for all of those houses on ts3. Half are occupied, other half empty so whats the point in having a lot of lots in a semi open world. I only need 3 vacant lots to play and I'm good

Honestly? I prefer a smaller world. I don't seem to find many Sims when I play in TS3, and as much as I like the open world, I'm not totally invested in it. Even with the graphics optimized to my laptop, the loading is pretty bad and the game can get pretty laggy. Sims 3 has almost been information overload for me, because it just has so many places to go in these big worlds, especially if I want to find Sims/do things with other Sims. The smaller Neighborhoods are quaint, and since I can travel between them, I feel like there is still a lot of opportunity for fun.

I only said to that person that she was only 12 years old because I felt she had no regard for her parents' money.

I can't go out of control with houses this time! xDD I had a world in sunset valley that was complete PACKED with houses. Probably why my game ended up crashing. xP I can understand why people are upset about the small world though. It is a big change but I think I can get used to it. I am only speaking for myself though.

I can also deal with no toddlers and pools since I hardly used any of those features in my gameplay.. except I used pools more than toddlers. x3 I do hope other simmers get what the want later on though. There were quite a bit of losses in the Sims 4 but there are a lot of positive things about the game too. I find the game looking more positive personally. ^^

Also; like it's been said before, it's only the base game. It looks like to me they might be able to expand Willow Creek later on? I wouldn't mind less worlds if they were expanded on. :3 I would still like that small variety though.

What a breath of fresh air this forum is... even this topic. this thread could have gone so south... but it didn't. I'm so happy about that. I love that we can be excited about it. Just sayin'. :D

uurrrrrggg why did i decide to check on those forums today?! I can't believe this, the simmers have a two petitions. One to include tots and pools which has 20,000 signatures. and another to officially delay the Sims 4 just to have tots and pools put back in the game. This makes me so angry that people are really acting so upset and childish that they have to push it this far only thinking of themselves and their satisfaction. What about us? What about the other thousands upon thousands of fans who can't wait for the Sims 4? That just ruins it for us that we already have our orders locked in but it was pushed back for another year because simmers wanna bitch and moan about it. Excuse my language but I'm fed up. I think that pushing the date back would create a bigger problem than it already is, think about it. Cyber war, it would get out of hand because fans would be outraged that the producers listened to these childish people and pushed the date. it would not be pretty, and I won't be sticking around to see that.

I'm really excited by the new world model. Maybe if there's a "downtown" EP, for example, it can just *add on* to what I have -- the existing worlds can be its suburbs, so it can be a *real* downtown, a 5-neighbourhood added-on world with condo towers and low-income projects and retail at the bottom of office buildings plus an urban-style park. A "rural" EP could add on a 5-neighbourhood world that doesn't have a downtown at all, just farms and a few country houses and maybe a market and café at a crossroads! I think that we could end up with bigger savegames that don't bog down systems the way Sims 3's bigger worlds easily could.

The only reason I go to the official forums anymore is to see if anyone's gotten the demo that day. Every other thread is completely toxic now. It'll actually be a treat when they do forum maintenance tomorrow :whistling:

Probably ts3 forum because that's for fans of ts3, EA forum is about all gamers including people who want ts4. There are more haters on ts3 forum.

This is exactly what I'm thinking they'll be doing. Of course, could be wrong, but it makes a lot of sense. I'm also hoping they open up world editing eventually so we can edit public spaces and other decorations.

Personally, I think this is an appropriate way to express dissatisfaction. It gives people an outlet to let EA know they're unhappy. Petitions and letters are very proper ways to try and communicate your issues with something. Is it selfish? I can't see something as selfish when you're unhappy and simply expressing that unhappiness. They have a right to feel that way and to express it. It becomes selfish when you have people come into the forums and tell those who are buying the game that they are responsible for the game being ruined; that they shouldn't buy the game so we can teach EA a lesson; that they are sheep/lemmings/EA cheerleaders; that they are financially irresponsible, ignorant, stupid, etc. That's selfish and rude because that completely disrespects other people's opinions and wishes.

With all that said, both petitions have been up for quite awhile now and I would eat my copy of TS4 if EA decided to delay the game BECAUSE of the petitions.

Bear with me while we do some math.:geek: They had over 95,000 pre-orders the 6th week out, have been steadily increasing since showing up on the pre-order chart, are (I believe) the ONLY PC game on the top 30 presales chart currently, and still have close to 4 weeks to see those numbers steadily increase. If they hold steady at increasing their pre-order numbers by around 2500 each week (it's more likely this number will steadily increase as well), they'll be at around 110,000 pre-orders by the time it's released. Someone told me they usually estimate that their first week's sales will be about 4 times the pre-order numbers (yeah, not the most legit source but finding info on pre-order numbers is almost impossible). Which means, they're looking at sales over 400,000 in the first week (minimum). While that's only about 1/3 of the sales they got for TS3, I'm not sure anyone expects TS4 to do that well. TS3 broke records when it was released. And, of course, none of that is anything more than a guess--the game could completely flop or it could blow every other game out of the water. There's really no way for us to know until it's released.

Compare that to 20,000 petitioners and you can see what I'm getting at.

    Sorry for the book.:D
