Hi everyone, another refugee .

I didn't hang out much on the official forum, got a very busy rl, but I did go back looking for Sims 4 info and some pre game excitement. Lol, was I disappointed there. Glad to see this is a much friendlier place to wait. I'm really looking forward to Sims 4, and seeing what can be done with the new neighbourhood system.

I agree with OP and everyone here. I'm really glad I found this place like, so relieved.
Usually, I always lurk and never really post on TS3 forum. But I've been there for years. Mostly for information, difference of opinion, or when I need help with games errors or issues.
And since My English is not that good. I can't express my opinion really well. [Leave alone to discuss or debate with someone who want to bite your head off if you think different.]
Today's an exception. Because I think I've had enough. I need to get something off my chest before I went crazy.
I completely understand if someone hate TS4, EA, Maxis or dev team. Yes, People should be allowed to express their opinions freely, negative, positive or in between. They have the right to complain as much as they want even if it's annoying. It's not my place to judge.
BUT I DO NOT UNDERSTAND if someone hate people who love, like or at least want to give TS4 a chance? I mean, What in the World! Name calling, insults and outright rude. Just because we like the game?? Really?? WOW.
It's confusing me when those people who hate TS4 so much said something like 'I don't care or give a ****' but still comeback? and complain? and said the same things over and over? and attack people who happy about it.? I get that they're unhappy and I think maybe deep down they still care a great deal of TS. Even though they says otherwise.
But like I said. I've had enough and so tired of those kind of attitudes. It drained my energy. I'll just stop going there [at least until TS4 release.]
Really Sorry for my long rant.

That forum is a mess. It's not even constructive criticism or opinion. It's all hateful and mean now.

People should have the rights to be negative. Afterall it is a beloved franchise, and a product.

The more you suffer, the more it shows you really care... Some people miss some features, and though I agree that some posts gets dull to look at, its still fair to mildly annoyed by whatever you feel is missing.

Personally, I don't like it has to be weird. I think it's a dumb way to promote the game, but I don't mindlessly attack anyone who like the weirdness.

Respect peoples opinions... anything else is just ignorant.

Negativity in a constructive way is fine I guess, but it's not okay to attack people who want the game.

Off course not. Attacking is never a good way to prove a point. I don't understand why the mods doesn't ban people who attack other. There's a report button, as far as I know.

But I look forward to debate on this forum. Seems to be a lot better compared to the EA forum.

Zef you won't find anyone giving you grief here just because you have your opinions and feel the way you do. It's perfectly understandable why people are so passionate about a game that they've enjoyed for so long. I couldn't agree with you more. Respect people's opinions and you'll get respect! Personally, as I said, my only grudge is the weirdness, and the lack of jobs. Toddler and pools doesn't really make me angry.

Plus, the feature-list looks promising. Can't wait to play the game!

But well, to be fair, watching people fight their arse off sometimes pretty entertaining

I'm hoping, now that the jobs are off screen, expansions can add a lot of new jobs/careers.

I guess the negativity against TS4 stems from the past games. People are spoiled with lots of content and choose to compare that with Sims 4.

I agree, it's a base game. I have no problem with the stuff taken out. Expansion Packs can add that kinda stuff later.

Every simmer plays this game for their own reasons. I completely understand 100% why some are upset. The way I view Sims 4 and how I like playing, I couldn't be happier about 4!

The haters are going to buy it anyway, once they see how much fun we have.

Don't get me wrong I totally understand also. However running ones mouth off and attacking others like on the official forums is not a good thing. That's why I came here. To have a fun time and to make friends. I enjoy all the friendly talk we have on here. I also enjoy constructive criticism and the like.

Hey guys, being here is like a breath of fresh air! So much negativity & rudeness on the official forums. It gets to the point where it starts to make me angry from reading & I have to get off of there. Hopefully if some of those ppl do migrate over here they aren't allowed to be nasty like that. I hope the new forums over there incorporate an ignore feature.
