    400 Pretentious Drinks :hilarious:

Cool list. Plus, did you see the interview Argus gave? If your writer sim is feeling confident, he can sit and write a book about confidence, give it a title, put it on his shelf and any other sim that reads it will gain confidence. I think that's extremely cool!

Yes and I swear I stopped breathing when he said the writers Aspiration Reward is that he can write an Epic Saga about another sim and when that sim dies, they can be resurrected!!! I usually play a writer sim so when I heard this time just stopped for a minute haha! I thought how exciting and creative!! Lord I can't wait! August is going to be the longest month in history!

I'm learning so much here already, I should have come over here soon. I didn't know this. It sounds so cool. I usually play self-employed because I don't like my Sims tied to some job when they could be out living their little pixel lives instead. I kind of don't like that writer now is tied to a job but this is kind of cool, might make up for it.

If you haven't checked out the Legacy Review I posted, you really should. She gives a ton of new information that I've never ready anywhere else. Even if you're into Legacies, the stuff she puts in her review is pretty interesting!

@HappyPhantom (COOL!!!!! I typed in your name and it showed your avatar...squeals....so cool..hehhee)

    Where was I?

Oh yes, I did see her (his?) reviews and had to laugh at the bit about the child launching from the bassinet. That part blows my mind, a 9-year old leaping out of a baby bed. I'm far too impatient to play legacies. I am mostly a builder and then I play a short little story to break up the monotony of placing walls and getting frustrated over roofs. I have to agree that there was some very good information shared. Is there a page with all the stuff linked? I want to see what I've missed.

I just linked her part 1 and 2 articles in a thread that I named Legacy Review. http://sims4forum.com/threads/sims-4-legacy-guide-review.1073/

I thought it was funny how one of her sims traits was insane and she mentions that while she was waiting on her date, her sim was having a conversation with the trashcan and when her date showed up, he thought it was so cute he joined in on the conversation lol! :hilarious:

I sort of felt the same way. I was a bit disappointed because I thought that would mean that writer/artist career would be solely done off screen (I frequently play artists) but there are two reasons I think it's actually going be really fun.

    1. The careers are handled differently than TS3. They've gone back to requiring your sims perform certain actions/reach certain goals so they can get a promotion. Performance is still part of the equation but you'll also be required to do additional activities when you're not at work like practice writing or overcome writer's block once.

    2. You can still do the non-career path jobs like painting, writing (you can choose to self publish, publish with a publisher or not publish at all, musician (you can write songs and sell them), gardening, etc., and sell your items for money (this is NOT like the Ambitions jobs where you had a job title and got promotions and awards). You can even build furniture, and, probably sell it.

I'm also looking forward to seeing where they go with careers and jobs in future EPs because I think there's lots of room for some great careers to be added.

    Check this list out.
There are some things that are pretty minor included (but I don't suppose they're any more minor than some of the things shared in the missing items list).

Oh I am so downloading the woohoo skill mod when I get the chance. ^

A tad disappointed all skills can be learnt completely from books, but it's always more of a chore that way.

@HappyPhantom - I forgot about the trash can! I laughed! I'm going to go read it again. The part about the poor Sims peeing herself because the toilet was broken? Funny.

@ebuchala - I recognize your name from the forums, I have always enjoyed what you shared. I like the self-publish option. I was considering just cheating them the money and having them fish when they needed more money. I don't want to send my Sims off screen till later when I get bored. I want them to explore but till we get the "no bills" thing then they have to make money now that "bills have teeth".

This is what I love. Those features that we know nothing about; the surprises they left us to see when they play the game. This is why I find it funny when some people dwell on what was removed and not what was put in. We have new things to see when the game is released.

Did you have the same name over there?

I FREQUENTLY use the money cheat options.:p The money side of things is frequently not the focus of whatever story I'm playing. Plus, I love building so I can spend a lot of time doing that, sometimes more than playing my households. I'm really itching to get my hands on that build/buy mode so I can try out the new building tools.[/user]

@ebuchala - I did have the same name, I posted once. I was a bit of a dweeb in my single post and didn't post ever again. I tried to warn them about being so open on the official forums about getting the demo through unconventional methods, it was the mom in me. Then I realized I should just mind my own business and went back to lurking.

The money, I've tried to play poor Sims. However, it's just not any fun. I like my Sims having nice things and living in fantasy houses. Then I get bored because they have everything! It's such a double edged sword. I prefer building anyways. I'm super stoked about all the new build options, it's the reason I'm getting the game! I want to see what they've added. I want to see what new ways I can challenge myself. I'm so freaking excited about those roofs!! I can't wait to finally be able to make proper Victorians and super modern houses.

    Painted ladies and gingerbreads! Woohoo!

I know the money thing can be frustrating. I have to admit that after I got Into the Future, it was like an in-game cheat to be able to get winning lottery numbers from the future and use them in the past. I did a sim that started out with just the basic money and made him comfortably well off using the future winning lottery numbers.:D
