I AM DONE WITH EA FORUMS

A bit late off the mark with adding to this thread, but the negativity is why I've not been going on there. It really put a downer on this game, which I'm actually looking forward to.
I'm glad I've moved over and onto here. I can actually say I'm looking forward to the game without loads of people whining at me! Fair enough, have your opinion, but the bottom line is the people who have been moaning the most will most likely still go out and buy it.
Just enjoy it for what it is! Its such early days to be comparing it to the older games. I'm going in with an open mind.

Well how dare you look forward to a game

While I do lurk over at the official Sims 3 forum often and even occasionally post there, I try to avoid those threads that ooze negativity and trolling like the plague. I like this forum a lot more, the atmosphere is much more welcoming, relaxed and not tense with forum members breathing down each other's necks and trying to out-argue each other. Seriously, some of the "debates" held over there I wouldn't call debates at all since name-calling and worse happens so often, it's really immature

We're glad you're here as well Aralyne! As I've said many times in the past, it all just comes down to respecting one another. There's no reason why everyone can't get along and respect each other's viewpoints.

I don't go on the official forums for any reason other than to lurk or see the recent news. It is so toxic there.

@SleepyD2k AH! I understand what's going on now. You are talking about HQ and I'm talking about the ea.com forum. Two different places. I have no idea how HQ works which is why I didn't know what a hero was, lol.

And I specifically went looking through that "naughty" thread, I didn't see anybody banned or flagged (except for one person which I thought was a little unfair but I also only went back about 10 pages). I was kind of surprised that they left all that stuff up like that and didn't remove it. Oh and as far as people editing their posts? Might not do any good, depending upon what they are doing and where they do the roll back to.

I apologize for saying those stuff to you. I hope we can move past this.

As far as the EA forums go, problems occur when people think they have rights and freedom of speech. If they read their EULA they would know that they actually don't. Here @sodagod is pretty cool so I havent' had any problems here. I did have a problem with one person calling me an EA worshiper when I tried to present facts to them about EA adding in tools for modders and how EA wasn't being greedy by doing so.

I thought you knew about EA Answers HQ because that is the only way to become a mod and get mod privileges now. Things have surely changed since you were a mod. If you don't mind me asking, how were you picked to be a mod?

While i do understand that those trolls are A) Disappointed and B) Just negative. EA is not Subway, you can't have it your way.

I've been lurking on the TS3 forums since the announcement for TS4 just trying to get new info on the game. The last few months it seems impossible to get actual info. Too many rumors and "facts" that are twisted to fit all the negativity going on over there. So refreshing to see people that are excited for the game and not being bashed for it.

The only thing false being given out was this statement above. I mean, really?

I could list 10 major cut backs without a second glance: Toddlers, Pools, Story Progression, CAST, Terrain Tools, Lot Size, World Size, Teen Height, Cars, and Open World.

You may not appreciate the list, but it isn't a lie.

Teen height is an opinion. Also, the game is still considered open world so you only have 8.

Are you smoking crack? Maybe I should say "different teen height" is it not an opinion then? And the game is not remotely an open world. I feel like you are saying these things to egg me on?
