I like the design its sleek, clean and modern. I'm just hoping that change username feature rumor is true once they're done updating. I would love to change my username to my Origin ID

They just took all the threads from the Sims 4 thread on the Sims 3 forum and linked our Sims 3 website account to this "new" site. So it may look new all the old threads are there.

It definitely looks much nicer. It will be interesting to see if it's more functional. Personally, I love how these forums are set up. I hope we at least have some of the same functionality there.

I have my doubts since there are still Sims 3 expansion topics there. But rest assured The Sims 3 GD is now a Sims 4 GD

Oh, Coolgame beat me to it. I just noticed the TS3 forums at the bottom of the TS4 ones. So it looks like at more TS4 topics get added, the TS3 ones will be pushed down.

Yep, I don't think they're reopening a separate forum for TS3 at this point. On the up side, it will be easier for people who play both to chat about both and the forums are set up a bit more like this one (you can rate or agree with posts, etc.).

I have to get used to it, I prefer this forum. I don't know why, but I just feel more welcome here

They added in the UK Simmers portion, does that mean they are bringing the other countries there as well? Interesting, they should rename it to Babylon (hahaha).

Something interesting that @Addicted2Fashion might feel strongly about (and I don't blame her). Only she and MW were banned, although somebody spread some rumors at the ea.com forum that tons of people were banned and their posts and profiles went missing. Nope, matter of fact if you look in that thread? It's all still there! They didn't even remove it. Funny, they clearly didn't care about the unauthorized copies but instead cared about sharing accounts? *massive eye rolls* and completely unfair.

EDIT: OH! And I just read that you can edit other people's post......that should be interesting, lol.

I just can't believe I'm showing my level of obsession by posting updates while I'm at work haha! That shows you want I'm doing while I'm at work haha!!!

I actually asked the people who were active in the forum if they were suspended too like MW (for giving links to unauthorized copies), but it was just the two of us. I am not supended anymore (my suspension lasted 72 hours and the forums were down anyway), but MW is suspended for a week. When he asked EA for the reason he got suspended he got told it was because of herassment, which was obviously not true.

When you posted what happened to you and then somebody else posted that they were saying at the ea.com forum that all these people were banned over it? I spent an hour going through that thread and checking every single profile for every person involved. One person went (on their own accord) and edited out all their posts and two were banned. That's it.

They didn't even ban the person who posted the link or those who gave step-by-step instructions on how to do it. They didn't ban the person who posted that they had torrented the entire Sims 3 catalog. I was stunned!

So basically, the message is "we don't care if you get our stuff from unauthorized sources and cost us hundreds of dollars but HEY! Don't you go sharing your accounts!"

I am glad you aren't suspended, it was an unfair one and it made me kind of mad seeing it.
