Getting energized?

I'm having a problem getting the kids to go to school while Energized. Maybe I'm just dumb, but I can't seem to get it to happen. Does anybody have any tips? I'd like to help their grades, since this is the only thing stopping them from getting above a C. I tried getting them to watch the action channel before school but that was just me grasping at straws. I assume using objects with mood auras would help, but in my experience once they're away from the objects the mood disappears rather quickly. I don't actually know a lot of ways to get sims energized in general though. I feel like I'm just missing something obvious. But I figure it can't hurt to ask for help. Thanks!

You can have them watch the action channel, but the easiest way is to have them take a brisk shower right before school. Voila! Energized.

I'm having a similar problem :/ I have my child take a brisk shower right before school, and i even tried having him take a nap before leaving (he wasn't able to finish it, so i don't think it worked), and he left the house feeling energized, but the objective still hasn't been completed, according to the game. Does anyone have advice?
