Favourite Expansion Pack?

The Sims 1 is undeniably one of my favourite games of all time, as well as the Expansion Packs that followed.
Just wondering what your favourite from the franchise was and the reasons why?

My favourite has to be Superstar. Just the whole aspect of allowing your Sim to become a celebrity was enough to win me over, but the game itself was just created so well. I enjoyed everything you had to do to raise your status in Studio Town, whether it was doing a Photoshoot as a Model or recording a Jingle in the Recording Booth. The tabloid that arrived everyday, allowing you to see who the Top 10 Hottest Celebs were and the Obsessed Fan that came and left roses outside your house... I just loved it!

When I heard that The Sims 3 Showtime was coming out, I was quite excited, but I really don't think Showtime can compete with Superstar on any levels.

I can't really participate since I only like played the base game.

To be honest Superstar is the only one I really go to play apart from Vacation that my friend had.

That's unfortunate! I feel The Sims 1 had the best Expansion Pack line-up out of all the games. All the EPs were created with a great concept, and it really built upon the base game. Some Expansion Packs now I feel are kind of... created just for the sake of being created.

The sims 1 expansion pack line is identical to all the other expansion packs.

I don't mean the titles, I mean the actual content that was included in it and what it added to the game.

They've only sprinkled new things on each time since sims 1. However, Sims 1 to 2 was a huge step. Maybe we can hope the same from 3 to 4.

I agree with this. Ever since EA has taken over Maxis it just seems like EA has hindered their creative processes with these games. Sometimes with TS3 I got a new expansion pack and I was bored after a few days. It wasn't that way with The Sims 2. The new expansions had me playing for a while! Endless hours!

Like if it is Sims 3 Pets, yeah they gave us the pets and our interactions, but to be honest, you don't get much else out of the pets. Why aren't there dog shows or events at the dog park! It is a pain having my dogs meet other dogs around the neighborhood and to prevent my dog from getting too lonely, i would have to get another dog.

Same with if I want to get my dog pregnant with a random neighborhood dog. I have to cheat with Nraas to do that. I know if Maxis was independent, we would have events with Pets and our game would just be the shizz.

Definitely Superstar! I just love the feel of Studio Town. And who can deny how amazing the music was?

Certainly not me, I wish my computer could play sims 1 just for the music.

I was so weird with The Sims 1 series, I had each individual game, the deluxe edition and two copies of 8 in 1, I was so obsessed...

I just loved going to Magic Town in Makin' Magic.

The Sims 3 World Adventures because I like the idea of tomb exploration and Supernatural because of the best items in buy mode

The sims house party because i love throwing parties.

Superstar hands down!!!

I liked every Expansion pack for The Sims, however I believe Makin' Magic is the best one, purely for the amount of content it brought.

I'd have to say Vacation. It was an interesting EP as a whole.

Activities such as fishing and snowboarding were fun to do. What most appealed to me of this EP was the music, though.
