Autonomous Flirting and Sexual Orientation

First off, I want to see my sims being flirted with. I hate having to push people together and saying "now kiss." If my sim isn't into them then they will automatically decline.

Secondly, What about Sexual Orientation? In The Sims, everyone is bisexual so anyone could flirt with anyone. If they go along with the plan up there, it would suck for people to autonomously flirt with someone and they planned their sims to be straight or gay or bisexual. I myself am gay but I don't always play gay characters and the times i play them, they roll wants to kiss a member of the opposite sex. Its just a thought.

Yeah, normal sims flirt every so often but flirty sims do it more

I am in total agreement with y'all. I think when you choose the Sim's attributes when creating them, you choose if they are gay, lesbian, straight, bisexual, or bicurious. I think the bicurious option should be in there so they would still flirt and do things with Sims of the same sex but they would not try to become romantically involved with them nor would they always want to flirt or whatever with the same gender. I think this is something that should be looked into by tech because it it always drives me crazy when I play if I would slip up and all of a sudden cause my Sim to fall in love with her best "girl" friend when she was married with children for example. I think they should make it more of like a teen or an adult rating also if these updates were made. I don't know what I really think of it but also like being able to make your Sim have a certain level of racism or just love everybody. And with this comment I have nothing at all against anybody of a different color or sexual preference then myself. I just think it would be totally interesting to add to the game! I'm weird

Although this is an awesome idea... it will most likely never happen. Think about it this way. First of all its rated teen.. EA is a big video gaming company. If they include different orientations, they run the risk of losing costumers that are either against homosexuality or just don't want their kids to play games with homosexuality in it. That sucks, and I wish it were more progressive, but the Sims just has to take a passive role in sexuality by not making it impossible but not making it a choice either.

As controversial as an orientation button in CAS would be, it might help if you want to make Sims a specific way (although that is a very unrealistic approach to what is completely natural, but this is a game where there are those who want to make the perfect Sim). I just believe that all non-premade sims (townies/NPCs/Randomly generated sims) should have be completely random in this respect (some are gay, some are bi, some are straight, some asexual). It would be cute (but very sad) for my simself to flirt with a sim and only to be rejected because they aren't interested in other guys (story of my life).

Whether or not orientation should be as easy to change as it is in TS2/TS3, I am not sure on my opinion. It would be nice and realistic if it was very practically impossible, but on the other hand I want that very cute guy in my life and because I am a GOD.

I say they should change the game to rated M! Screw it lol, its not like I wasn't playing 17+ games when I was 13. Their younger fanbase won't suffer lol. Yeah, yeah I'm being selfish.

On a serious note though, I do wish my Sims could get the first move made for them... I usually play with female Sims, so when it comes to kissing, dating, and getting married.. I want the male Sims they are with to make that first move for my stories. It forces me to play as the guy whenever my female Sims go out on a date or something. It's so tedious.

I hope this time the hopeless romantic trait (not the same thing as Romatic trait but both have been confirmed so far) don't flirt with other people once they have their prince of princess Charming

For me I hate having to "push" my sims to be romantic, unless it's a flirty sim and then she and her father-in-law are always at it! LOL I play both gay and straight sims and I'd love to be able to roll sexual orientation. I play generations and sometimes I just feel like, "Oh, you will be so cute gay!" Not sure that politically correct though . I'd love to be able to assign or have them choose early so that I could then plan around that.

All that said, I hope the new AI will make for less pushing by me and more by my sims! I want my sims' moto to be "Just do it!"

Same here. My flirty Sims usually end up cheating (or coming darned close) even when it didn't make sense for my story. I stopped using flirty unless I wanted my Sim to be licentious on purpose - like for the the Heartbreaker LTW. Guess we'll have to wait and see!

I love the flirty trait, my sim made out with her mother in law's husband I was like dang girl! Fortunately she didn't get caught but it was fun. I'm just scared sometimes because I do see her flirting with other guys when I'm not focusing on her but yeah I like it LOL

I like controlling almost everything my Sims do, including romances, but once in a while I would actually love to see other Sims going after mine without my meddling. It just adds more feeling to it.

I personally wouldn't mind having sexual orientation choices but you have to think like a dev who is trying to ship a game world-wide for a wide range of people and ages. Neutrality is your best option here - giving both sides what they want without giving too much of a spotlight to either. A game that is sold with a strong emphasis on sex and homosexuality is controversial but at least people know what to expect of it. The Sims have always been "neutral" and "good-for-all" game.

We shouldn't worry too much because I know mods will fix everything our hearts could ever desire.

I attempted a all female Sims community....all the stores, bars, and houses were full of beautiful women, teen girls, and female children...all from married lesbian households. They all worked together and seemed to get along quite well, but then the stupid game would generate a male and spoil everything, destroying my little utopia. cas.fullditmode cheat did nothing to stop the onslaught of male invasions and sudden appearances. So i gave up on that dream a long time ago. In Sims 4 is there a way to have an all male or female (single gender) worlds?

We already decide what they like, what the wear, where and how long they will likely live, i dont see a problem with this, only more options to make the wolrd and your sims even more your way, nuff said, Suported.

As for it going M+ ? I dont think it is necessary, perhaps if thesims series drop the bullsh*t of trying to please pretty much everyone, it would evolve at a higher speed and include more options of gameplay even inside the range of the Teen Rating.

What i don't understand is why have a teenager and young adult/ Elder adult flirt if you done this in the real world you be seeing prison Bars for a view Jail as there called in the US and other places

Well, i am not asking for that in the first place, i dont think the OP is asking for that either, i dont think that is even legal to put in a game, but what i am talking about are subjects like the orientation, Politics, religion (even fictional religion, even trough TSM and SimCity included all of these) and how dumbed down the game has beign made ever since Thesims3, the removal of some animations and interactions because people are political-correct-mad and just make everything bland.

Well, back on topic, some things are not likely to raise the rating, some things are not illegal, some things are just not in a game that can comport those because bullsh*t and over-sensitiveness. You dont imagine how much crap from others i went trough when i sugested playable careers with policeman, and doctor in view-able worlplaces, in a similar way to GTW because people found the idea of having open jails and hospitals "Offensive" and "unapealling".
