Sims 4 - Behind on your bills? Harsher Consequences!

This was posted on this sims 3 forums and I thought I would repost here for you guys to read. In my opinion I am happy that there are more consequences now

"Over on Mod the Sims graham was explaining the money situation on The Sims 4 and he had this to say, I'm actually glad, see they do listen people asked for this last year!

Graham: 'On a side note related to money stuff (and I'm going to keep this short - the spacebar on my keyboard broke today and it's really annoying typing), the consequences of not paying your bills is more severe now. Let your bills go without paying them? First your power gets shut off. Next your water gets shut off. It's a fun scenario to put your Sims in on occasion (they recognize it and get some unique socials about it). The bill upkeep on more expensive homes is harsher than it's been in the past as well, so you truly better be earning enough to support living in one. I hope both those things contribute to greater challenges when you put your Sims in those situations.'

This sounds interesting! I wonder if (because they're adding in water and power being cut off) modders will be able to make mods simulating things like power outages...

Me gusta harder bills.

They definitely need to make getting money harder!

I like that they added this feature.

My daughter was all excited hoping that she will get power outages during storms when they add weather LOL. I love this idea! It's been ages since I let the repo man in my sim's home, but the interactions that are unique to the outages may be worth a try!

Wasn't there unused code in TS3 for a power outage scenario? I kinda feel like they brought it over to TS4 since they never finished it in TS3 for whatever reason, but I do like the application!

I love this! Very realistic. In the other Sims games, bills were just something that were there that I would forget about. It never really put a dent in my Sims' pockets unless they were new Sims that I just moved in.

Yes you will be able to cheat as in...like..all sims game. It was pretty obvious already but the simgurus confirmed it trough tweeter anyway.

That awesome because in the Sims 3 you'd miss a $300 bill they'd take a $1,000 TV, like WTF? Does this mean I'll get a $700 discount on my next bill?

Ugh! I know! That was so annoying! I like this new system they have now. ^^
