    I have it and played it a little but it bored me after a bit. I like it...just didn't feel "Wow!" My son's girlfriend loves it. Depends on what you like.

    Ditto what FalseZen said. The scuba diving and island exploration are fun; I also enjoy having my sims ride jet skis and para sail. Being a lifeguard when it's snowing is a bummer LOL. My only "major" complaint is travel time between islands; if you work on one island and live on another, your commute is a bit cumbersome.

    You should definitely watch a couple LPs on it, and then decide. Sometimes I think I won't like a game, but then I watch a video on it and I find out that I actually really love it, and vice versa. You may know many features, but it's even better to see them all in action.

    I'd say watch some Let's Plays as someone mentioned above. That is what I did when deciding whether to get it or not and personally it seemed really fun.

    I personally like the expansion. The expansion depends on the person tbh. I heard a lot of people like Ambitions, the jobs, and the clothes washing system, even though I find all the jobs to be tedious due to slow loading of CAS, and you really cannot be creative. And the clothes are always all over the floor, and its no fun picking them up.

    I think I have when Ambitions or whatever it was was new, but I think the clothes still ended up on the floor. I really do not remember. I need to try it next time I played.
