Help?

I've downloaded the sims 4 demo but it wont install, it keeps saying:
Error: The VC++ runtime redistributable package was not installed successfully. Setup cannot continue. (5)

Did you download the official version?

Yeah i got the email invite thing

What version of windows are you using?

Windows 7

• Head to the Sims 4 CAS Demo installation folder, then find the _Installer folder.
• In _Installer, navigate into the VC folder, then into vc2012Update3, and finally redist.
• In redist, find both the x86 and x64 versions of VCredist.exe.
• Run and install both versions, and your game should now launch without error.

Pardon the stupid question but where will i find Sims 4 CAS Demo installation folder?

Go to the C drive
Go to Program Files (x86)
Go to Origin Games
Go to The Sims 4 Create A Sim Demo

I'm having the exact same problem, I've tried what you've said but the only file in the redist folder is the x86 version, and when I try to install that this error comes up

Yup, had the same thing, I've given up.

When I go to the vc folder vc2012Update3 doesn't come up. Only vc2013. A folder entitled redist is there, but it leads to vcredist_x86.

Are you using Windows 7 or 8?

you should be a adminstrator to install that

I've had this same problem.
Except mine says "0x80070643 Fatal error during installation."
I use Windows 7, and I'm on my administrator account/running as admin too.

This question is not related to demo problems... My question is, does any one know if

• Creator's Guide Hardcover Book - A hardcover guide that teaches you to become a Sims master creator, and also includes art from The Sims 4

Is basically the same thing as the collectors Prima guide or is this creators guide have less info than the Prima guide ? I'd like to know before deciding to preorder the Prima guide. Thank you

the same thing happens to me and when i try to download the vcredist files it says the object is already there

I'm not sure, but maybe this would help?

1. Go to Windows Update
2. Click Installed Updates
3. Find Update KB2918614 in the list and uninstall it.
4. Restart your computer.
5. Run Sims 4 installation again.
6. Play Sims 4! Yay!!
