Preordering?

i preordered The Sims 4 Premium Edition from amazon a few days ago.

hmmm well I will likely be getting the game in late september to november

I pre-ordered the deluxe version ages ago.

I'm actually a little torn between pre ordering TS4 on either Origin (via paypal), or Amazon (via amazon credits). It all depends really, since I'll most likely be ordering the video card I need from Amazon as well.

Honestly, it's better to get a hard copy instead of digital so best go with Amazon especially since they offer shipping on the day the game comes out. with origin, ehhhh don't get me started...things could happen

Right now our PC is w/o an optical drive. That was the main reason I have been considering a digital version for the time being...I guess I've got the rest of the month to try to sort things out.

Oh i didn't know that. Then yea digital but hey you've got time to decide and I think that if you do get the hard copy you could still register it on origin so that disk only acts for if something happens to your game

Yeah...a new optical drive really isn't that much more expensive, but since I'm trying to collect enough to get both the game and a video card...along with our regular regimen of cat food (these spoiled cats refuse to eat any other food besides the 24 pack I buy on amazon twice a month)...it strains the amazon acct a bit. The reason I was considering origin to begin with is I can use paypal to get it (unfortunately, you can't use paypal on amazon purchases yet). Who knows...I've got the rest of the month to figure that out...provided I decide to PRE-order it at all and not just wait until after its release date to order it a bit later.

I preordered mine as an early birthday present as well! My birthday is on Sept 14, the only thing is, the game is released on the first day my college classes start so I have force myself to only play it for maybe an hour that day and then save it for a binge on the weekend.

I finally preordered the other day. xP Hopefully it will be here on September 2nd. ^^

I still want it but i think i will wait and see how it is im peoples gameplays and then maybe get it a few eps down the road when it may be a little cheaper

I was thinking about canceling the digital copy and getting the physical instead. Does the physical copy cost more?

I think they're close to the same price. The premium copy is about $80 if you buy it from a store or amazon, the limited ed copy (either digital of physical disk) is about $60. I'm actually thinking of downgrading mine to limited edition at this point too...just can't decide to get the digital copy or go with a physical disk at this point.

That's a pretty good call. This is what I used to do before buying almost any other game. *sigh* I guess I just have a weakness when it comes to these darn Sims.

I thought about pre-ordering through Origin. But something tells me that the download traffic for the game is going to be horrible.

Since you get to start downloading two days before the game is released, I think it will seriously defray the potential server issues.

I'm pretty sure you don't have to be actually logged in with Origin to play, even with the download version.

I preordered yesterday - just the Digital Deluxe version - now that it looks like I can take the 2nd off to complete the download and play (I hate having a preorder sitting there teasing me while I'm working! And my gaming computer = my home-office computer, unless I win a lottery and can buy a good laptop.)
