Preordering?

I preordered from EB Games a week or so ago. Just the limited edition, though.

For the Sims 4 they have said you only need to log into your origin account for the initial download.

Even if I wanted to I couldn't because EA apparently wants everyone to play but their mac users... Thanks EA.

Yup, that's the case here at my house too...thus it's not already maxed out and ready to go when it comes to gaming experiences.

I already preordered in June. I'm going to be really optimistic about this but If I Like it then I'll keep playing if I don't then I don't play it. It's really that Simple.

That's for the gamer's club unlocked members and applies to all games. What they don't tell you is that it's $120 (or something close) to sign up for 2 years (I'm a Best Buy Employee)

Is Amazon any good with preorders ?

I'm hoping I can catch you all a little sneak peak of our shipment of TS4 disks when they come in :3

No promises though, I may not come across them in the course of my day-to-day work (though too be honest I'm going out of my way to check the gaming department's stuff...I'm nosey like that)

I have the limited edition preordered over on Origin already, but alas, being from the UK, I won't actually get to play the game until the 5th September. On the plus side, I'm hoping people will upload videos of the gameplay so I'll know of any glaring bugs/random in-game awesomeness/etc. prior to actually playing it myself

I usually got my preorders the day of release. And I got TS3 Uni Life i think days before the release

I'm considering canceling my preorder through Amazon and maybe changing it to a brick-and-morter store instead. Why? Because I was super excited that I would probably get it the day before and completely forgot that it was a holiday!

Which means if I wait for the delivery guys to come on the 2nd it will probably be late afternoon since they never come my way before then and that means it will cut into all the stuff my kid does in the afternoon and I won't be able to play it till the next day.

So, not acceptable!

But if I switch to Gamestop, then I can pick it up after I take him to school and play all day till I have to pick him up.

But....then I will be a little embarrassed that they will be seeing this soccer (I'm actually a golf/band) mom picking up the game and not sure I like that idea either.

Maybe I can pretend it's for my kid? Yes, I shouldn't care but I sort of do!

That age old question eh'. I had the same dilemma when choosing where to buy the game, [I ain't much of a people person]. Though Amazon does sometimes do day one delivery, though i guess it depends on how far you are from their warehouses is the speed it goes to your house. But if you do try a store then you probably have nothing to fear, considering a community like The Sims spans through a lot of ages.

No need to be embarrassed. All sorts of people game these days. I've never been given reason to feel embarrassed when getting a game at a store. Actually, I had quite a nice chat with the clerk about Sims and SimCity when I preordered. Also, if a game is a big enough deal, they sometimes open at midnight when it comes out.

I pre-ordered the deluxe version yesterday through origin. The pre-loading starts earlier, so I don't think the server will be overloaded much. I'll be playing it on my iMac (Windows partition, thanks to Bootcamp!).
