I cant wait for Sims 4.But just to be disapointed and frustrated again.?

Sims 3 was so exciting until my game keep on crashing, although I upgrade my PC twice. Into the future (that I was very exciting about} , I bought, but never played,it just starting to download and then stoppped, I couldnt delete or download it again. My University exspansion crash and then I had to start way back when.I never manage to get any sim through university, And the error CANT SAVE YOUR CAME.had me stop playing sims, for more then a year now. I love the game, and would like to play sims 4 but I ve lost so much of money with sims 3, like playing Island Paradise for a week and never get Into the future running, it is a game I bought and dont know what it is. Am I going to waist more money or just keep on playing facebook games like I did since Sims let me down,,,,

Are you venting or just asking for our opinion on whether or not the game is worth it? Its also a very common habit for people have to blame everything and everyone when something goes wrong, instead of actually looking into it, or admit than it may be their own fault. Not saying its your particular case here, but maybe something went wrong? Or you're just unlucky? Did you installed a ton of mods? Because I had nowhere the amount of problems you had. My games may have been laggy but they still worked!

So, back to my original point - If you're looking for our input, all I can say is that TS4 is being sold on the promise that its going to run better than TS3 ever did. If it bothers you that much then I suggest you wait until the reviews start circulating before spending any money on it. Oh and Gamespot, IGN, etc, those big-shots? I'd suggest you take everything they say with a grain of salt because I wouldn't be surprised if their opinions were actually bought by EA. I always prefer to hear what LPers or bloggers have to say, rather than official sources, they just seem more... legit? Honest? But that's just me.

No offense, but it seems like you did not do anything outlined in this thread here: http://sims4forum.com/threads/sleepyd2k-guides-troubleshooting-your-game.932/#post-11400. Especially the steps here:

Be sure to upload your DXDiag and text files listed below that are located in your My Documents The Sims 3 folder before you start the chat/call. A specialist will be able to tell you the reason for the crashes and how to stop them. The most common cause of crashes is running background programs while playing the game:
  • xcpt "Your computer name"
  • Options
  • DeviceConfig

It is not the game causing you problems, it is most likely your computer. You say you upgraded twice, did you purchase compatible parts when you upgraded? Does your computer meet the minimum specs for the game?

One thing I am thinking is that you have mods installed that are causing your game to crash. The other option I am thinking is that you don't have any problems at all and you are just trying to discourage others from purchasing The Sims 4.

I have not 1 single mod installed. The second time I upgrade my computer I actually bought a new box and everything, it met all the specs for the game,en more. I only kept the old windows because I did not want to loose my game. And you wrong, I definitely not discourage people to buy the Sims 4, I am just frustrated that I can not play Into the Future. I do not think I will be able to resist buying the Sims 4 the moment it launches.

She won't have to go to this extreme of a step to get the game to work unless she has a virus or really bad malware. I don't think she tried any of the steps I listed. If she tries those steps and has a PC, her game should work without any problems besides the minor glitches in the game.

Have you completed the steps I listed? Has your game been fixed? If you don't try to adjust computer to play the game or contact customer support then your complaining is pointless. Although The Sims 4 will run on low end machines you will have the same problems because it is not the game, it is your computer.

I've had the same version of Windows on my laptop laptop for 3 years and my version of Windows is not bogged down. If she downloaded a lot of content, the problem would be her hard drive not windows. Once the hard drive is close to capacity, it slows the computer down. The other issue is having a lot of programs running at start-up. Formatting a computer is time consuming and plus it won't solve the problem she is having. Once she loads all her programs back onto the computer, she will run into the same issue.
