Most EPs I see nowadays are just mod gameplay, not really just in-game features..

I stopped watching because I haven't found any interesting LPs.

I'm not saying it is a bad thing in anyway. I, personally, don't use mods, but my favorite LP is a mod LP. Check out The Black Widow Challenge LP by Khaleesims. It was really good.

This is a possibility and it could help, but there will always be the people who say "I want this feature" and then it comes up in an EP they don't really want. I held off on Late Night for years because I heard clubs and apartments weren't great and I already had vampires in Supernatural, even though I wanted more musical instruments. I got it recently in an Origin sale and don't regret it but my misgivings were very strong for several years, enough to put me off buying it. I would have liked the nectar in World Adventures but I don't think I'd get enough use out of the EP so I haven't bought it.
Unfortunately in this situation there is only compromise. I think both EA and the customers have to be prepared to compromise to some extent on their wishes if the game is to succeed at all. The risk is that players will find themselves not buying some EPs if there isn't enough content they like, I guess.

But I still hope nectar comes into an EP I actually want next time. ;)

well there will be compromises to assure the happiness of everyone. Like if you want this feature that's in an EP you don't want, we can offer it seperately. I think that would have been good for EP's and SP's in ts3, if only they offered pieces sperately

The whole thing isn't like that. That's just the trailer. The whole lp is normal gameplay.

That would be great. EA did this a couple of times in that they put vampires in Late Night and Supernatural, mixology in both Late Night and Island Paradise, and the violin in the store. But it would be even better if they did more of this sort of thing :)

To get a delay you'd need to get that approved by your superiors. From what I've heard the team already tried to get a delay but EA said no. Likely due to one of its bigger titles already getting a second month long delay.

Back to the topic at hand, I think I'd probably cut a lot of what has been cut. Although I think I would have cut YA instead of toddlers and then, if possible, just reintroduced the YA lifestage with the inevitable University expansion like they did back in TS2.

I for one thing would be more one of the Grus who actually went on the official forums and not just on FB/Twitter. To actually listen to the fans. I would have told EA that trying to make a Sims an online would be a huge mistake-maybe even with a survey. Then spent the entire time when half of the team were working on the so-called online version. Me and the other half of the team would work on what the Simmers want minus-Pets/Seasons.

I didn't read the whole thread, so sorry if this has been addressed.

A lot of people often mention that they should have cut YAs instead of Toddlers. All life stages in this game don't take the same amount of time to code. YA and Adult sims share animations, meaning having YA sims in addition to adult sims is very little work compared to adding something like toddlers or children. Toddlers and children (and teens if they weren't the same height as adults) need their animations made separately, which is a lot of time. Cutting YAs wouldn't have saved a lot of time, if any really.

What they need is possibly a better CEO, or just a better staff all together;)

Oh yes I see where your coming from but regardless of that if EA actually did cut YA's then it would be a whole feud over that just like over tots and pools which is ridiculous

I doubt there would be a feud if they would cut YA. YA was usually always added with the Uni EP. So I wouldn't have been shocked if it wasn't in base.

It has been shown that it is possible to add a life stage in an EP so I'm pretty Toddlers would be a priority at EA
