Anybody else feeling inspired?

I don't know, not having the demo, but I hear there are two walk styles we haven't seen yet.

I always play with a couple that has a huge family. But I'm wanting to try different play styles once it is released. I'm thinking of re-creating Mimi Landgraab. Playing out her party animal lifestyle.

I'm inspired to play around with the new CAS system. It looks as if it has a bit of a learning curve, but I still can't wait to give it a try. I normally play families, as I get bored with a Sim or even just a Sim couple on their own. I've been recently playing Sims2 again, for the first time in years. While I never ever play myself or even anyone I know, personally, I did find myself creating my sixth great-grandparents and four of their ten children. Is that weird?

LOL I think the only times I play on triple fast-forward is when I have a Sim(s) in university. :O Or, to get them through the endless night. But, I do play with Free Will On, slammed all the way to the top. But, I have to admit the Sims in Sims3 weren't as lively or as funny as in Sims2. Here's to hoping the Sims in Sims4 bring that back!

I'm looking forward to jumping right in and trying out everything the game has to offer. I loved the Sims 1 and I bough it on release day but I didn't get into Sims 3 until almost towards the end there. I started with just the base game and I loved it so much I bought all of the stuff and expansion packs available at the time. Unfortunately this left me with so much to do it felt like I was rushing everything just so I could experience it all. It will be nice to start fresh and experience everything at my own pace.

I'm feeling uninspired......

about Sims 3!!

I've had the game open all day and I've made the basic shell of two houses. Hated one, thought the other was MEH, and went and watched TV instead.

Yep, I am so uninspired. I just want to poke around Sims 4 and it's hard to put my focus on any other Sims game.

Same here. I want to pay Sims 2 or 3, but then I think of the things I can't do, like moving whole houses, and it just seems like to much trouble.

Well for me it's that I don't want to get involved in anything just to abandon it in a couple of weeks. I don't want to start a new story, I don't see the point in building anything because I want to really give Sims 4 a chance.

I'm tired of letting people and their resistance to change influence me. I'm not reading all the negative (or even honestly the cheerleading) posts anymore. I want to see if for myself. When I first got Sims 3, I thought it was horrible. I left it alone for a month or so and then went back to it but armed with more information and mods. I fell in love with it. Knowing that? I can pretty much bet I will hate Sims 4 (because it's not familiar) and will need a month or so before I'm ready to accept the changes and try again.

I have the money to just throw away on this game so why shouldn't it? Why should I be made to feel guilty because I want to spend $60 USD just to try it out? I blow that in a week at Starbucks. So, what's the difference?

Yeah, and stuff from Starbucks is just temporary. You'll likely be using the game for years, if it's not a total disaster.

Money is harder for me to come by, but it's my money. If I want to take a chance with it I will.

I decided to go in yesterday and build a really cool house (I used to get so wrapped up in building, I could do it for hours) but I just wasn't motivated when I got the game open so I ended up starting a new story and playing trying to keep myself from fast forwarding a lot (except for sleep time) and playing close up camera shots more to watch things better. Realized that some things people were claiming was multi-tasking in TS3 really wasn't (a couple of people claimed their families would sit at the dinner table for hours and chat both through dinner and after dinner--they wouldn't talk while they were eating, except an occasional comment, and then would chat after they were done eating; definitely not the same thing). The rabbit holes in Lunar Landing aren't as fun as the ones in other towns since everything seems to be underground. It's been fun but it's kind of hard to keep playing while waiting for TS4 to come out.

Well for me being the build mode is just amazing I see me building a lot....I didn't build much in Sims 3 ..I did in Sim2 so I'm really looking forward to the Building ..I think Ill just let my Sims take their course in the game and see where it goes..This time around I'm doing roommates. I use to do families but since the CAS demo was only limited to young adult...I figured I'll just go with roommates and see how it goes. I'm sure there will be some compatible one who end up dating or something ...lol

I've never been able to properly make houses in the Sims 3 or any Sims for that matter, but they made it so simple and user friendly in the Sims 4. It's a lot like how I feel about their CAS revision; I used to make pretty bland Sims, but now I can adjust them exactly how I want them. That's how I'm feeling about this new build mode!

I can't wait to make the best and the wackiest and the worst houses for my Sims to live in now.

I imagine your sim going around the neighborhood and introducing themselves.

Kind of like in Unbreakable. "I like your house..."

You know what's even worse? One of my first interactions is, "Enthuse about new house"... LOL
