Could someone explain to me why most people in NA already got the game today?

Could someone explain to me why most pre-orderer people in NA already got the game today (not including those who downloaded from Orign)? My mom thinks its impossible for all NA pre-orderers to have gotten it today ( I think to get it today it should have been shipped at the latest Wednesday which would give it two business days)

we ordered it from Walmart Canada and only because it was the cheapest price. You sound like my mom 'there are probably a few others in your boat' but as far as I'm aware most North American pre-orders got it already. I only know one other person who has to wait a couple of extra days to get it. Also since yesterday was a holiday it couldn't be shipped that day the earliest day it could have been shipped to arrive here today is I think Wednesday depending on where its coming from.

except some people who pre-ordered it from Walmart already got it today. I'm the only one (not counting those getting it later nor those in other countries) who doesn't have the game yet.

I don't have it yet, I pre-ordered through Amazon.ca. So be patient, girl. It will arriving at your home in 2 to 3 days... could be more.

to make matters worse is tomorrow I'm going to be stuck for 6 weeks, once a week with a woman I don't like and going to be having to drink half of my crystal light drink mixes in my water bottle.

Well to be fair I don't think it's entirely EA's fault. Yeah they botched the hell out of the "worldwide" release everyone had imagined (ALL Central Asian simmers got to play TS4 before any other country), but there's also the local store departments and their shipping services that are pretty lackluster as well.

When you pre-order things, it's always a good thing to get the tracking number ASAP. I don't know what the situation is for @disneygirl or yourself so I can't tell you it's mandatory to get the shipping tracking number, but highly recommended if you're able to.

I order it from Walmart Canada and two people in North America also pre-order it from Walmart but I, Queen and another Simmer in North America (all ordered from different places) seem to be the only ones in North America who haven't gotten the game yet despite the fact the game got released yesterday in North America. Dad hasn't even gotten a shipping confirmation yet and they (the parents) refuse to contact Walmart till tomorrow to check to see if my shipment has shipped. Everyone else except for those three people in North America been playing the game since sometime yesterday.

I seriously doubt that only three people in the entirety of North America have not gotten the game yet, maybe you're just the only few who have posted about it. Give it a day Walmart isn't the best with shipping especially if it's coming from a different country. Also take it into account what day you ordered it, other people who ordered it from Walmart Canada might have ordered before you so their games were to first to ship out and it also depends on what part of the country you live in, it can affect the shipping time. I know you're anxious to play and I totally get it, be patient and it will be so rewarding when you finally get it.

except I know two people who pre-ordered it from Walmart and they both got the game yesterday. Most people who pre-ordered it in North America either been playing since midnight on Tuesday from Origin or if not midnight since noon or later yesterday. I pre-ordered it in the first week of August-that's the earliest dad would let me pre-order it through him. The only think this has taught me is to not to have anything shipped from Walmart next time but make it be a pick-up or order it from another company. I blame it half on dad and half on Walmart. Dad because he's a frugal person and Walmart because we didn't learn that they weren't going to be shipping my game till yesterday from the purchase confirmation and at least check dad still hasn't gotten a shipping confirmation.

If you still don't get any conformation from Walmart by tomorrow you really might want to call the company because that is not okay. Also don't be so tough on your dad a video game is understandably not the most important expense in the world especially one that is kind of expensive, whats most important is the food you eat and the bed you sleep in.

Dad's the one who insisted it being shipped from Walmart if he hadn't insisted on it being shipped I wouldn't be complaining right now and could actually have the dam game in my hand. He also is frugal-aka cheap-I mean come on he waits until Thursday when flyers come out to see what's on the sale (like OJ) and then goes buy the OJ on sale. If I had my way I would have made it be a pick up instead and pre-ordered it in person instead. It just from other people's expereinces with Sims EPs I was expecting the game to arrive at my house on release day not 2 days later. Also Walmart website didn't inform us until after we 'check out' that the game wasn't going to ship until Sept 2 via the confirmation purchase email. If it had told us that prior to the final check out step-it was going to be two days late we could have made other choices.
