I liked to do the recoloring of objects & clothes in the last game but I am wondering how to go about that in Sims 4. Is there a separate program I can download? I don't get into creating whole new things, not when I can get it from online from far more talented people than me. :)

The Sims 3 had an in-game function to recolour objects and clothes. The Sims 4 comes with pre-set colours to choose from (assuming that you have found that function) - however they are limited. I like to convince myself that's more "real life" as Ikea doesn't have endless colours for example; however sometimes I find my houses getting repetitive as I only find certain colours match if that makes sense. Anyway - there is no external program that I'm aware of so far; the only way you will find any recoloured content for now is Sim Mod sites etc - however I don't think there is much to choose from - but I've no doubt modders are hard at working pulling this game apart and finding out just how much customisation we can do! Hope this helps!

Edit: Click http://sims4forum.com/custom-content/sims-4-cas-recolor-tool.2/ - that might help you out! Instructions are included :p

Thanks for replying to my message. That's pretty much what I thought so I'll just have to wait until someone comes up with what will hopefully be an easy way to change colors. I'm still getting used to the game anyway. :)

That's great... I went and did a quick look at what you made but I'll need to go back and really check it out more tomorrow evening. I really like what you did though and I'm glad you didn't replace anything from the game, I don't ever use anything that does that. Replacing one with another doesn't really gain anything. I only just closed out of my game a few minutes ago so it's going to get to late tonight to do much. I have an early day tomorrow and a long one. lol I'll be checking into how you did your recolors though! Have a great night!
