Basic Simmer here

Like most everyone else, I am interested in what the new forum is going to offer before the Sims 4 actually gets released. I know the forums are great tools when we are actually playing the games, whether to solve problems or to expand on the basic functionality with mods. Does anyone know if the information discussed here before the release will have an affect on the game itself?

I am a basic user when it comes to the Sims, I don't really download mods, I try not to blow up my sims' bank accounts. But I do visit forums often to see if the "glitches" I experience are real or just user error. I am hoping the new forum will maybe offer more assistance to creating content without modding out the game completely. I have heard horror stories on occasion about people who do that without the correct knowledge. But basic instructions would be wonderful!

I do not know for sure if it will have any effect I would like to hope that EA is smart enough to do that. Anyways welcome to the forums and feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Since your a new player, sometimes read things we write on the TS3 part of the forum, you can learn somethings there; I already learned something and I'm on this thing for over a decade xD

It has been said by a Maxis official that TS4 will be highly designed by input from the community and players. They are really going to listen to us this time and make the game FOR us. However, it has not been said what means of collecting data they will use. If they're smart, they'll spend time browsing all sorts of Sims forums to see what the biggest issues and most desired additions are.

I would hope as well that they would take our ideas into consideration, it would overall make EA much more successful in the long run, not to mention garuntee happy customers sticking around for future expansion packets to come.

EA is all about money not happy customers, most simmers are long term simmers that are addicted to the game because there really isn't another game like it to choose from.

Well I think that EA does listen to us but that is my opinion

I'm sure they do too, with a boulder of salt, they know we want these things, but then they think money and how to milk out the most from their cash cow.
