different coloured lines through buttons

    hi, i have just bought the CD for the sims 4 and as i have opened it i couldnt see any of the buttons as there were different lines through them? someone help please!

    This looks to me, to be a display adaptor error. Download the latest version of direct x from Microsoft's website and install it. Then goto the control panel and click on hardware and sound, then device manager, then scroll down to display adaptor and expand that option. It will tell you what type of video card you have. Download the latest version of the driver of that card from the manufacturer's website (not the windows update one, it's likely very old). With any luck, that SHOULD fix your problem.

    Can someone help! I've tried all of the solutions from the all the threads I've seen and I can't seem to solve it! I've updated everything and I have the Intel Hd Graphics. I use a blue vaio laptop with Windows 7. Please help!
