I'm sure there are lots of legacy players among us, my question to you is as followed:
How do you keep track of your family tree?
Do you keep a file on your computer where you write it down?
Or do you just not bother?

I've been recreating a family tree in the back corner of my backyard, with tombstones..
But when I try to lay out a path underneath, the tombstones turn into urns, which sucks.

Any ideas? There are no mods out yet, right?

    So far I've done this

I update it every time when the family is growing, and the father is dead, maybe I must mark it some way..
I really hope that we get a family tree soon. In fact, I do not use mods or codes at all :)

I don't use mods either, but I think in this case I would make an exception.

If you have an editing program, you can make your own or something. So far I don't need it as my second gen is still young as so far it shows who are the aunts, uncles, cousins and siblings not living with them under the relationship panel. As long as my sims know, that's what important to me.

I keep track of my family in my CAS. I save each generation of family as a separate household in my own gallery. The way I link them is to take a snapshot in time of my current family and then again when those children grow up and begin their own families. This makes it easy for me to see what future generations might look like depending on who I pair the children with.

This is my family tree from Fletcher Legacy Challenge, I made it using MS PowerPoint. It's a quite powefull tool for just doing this. It might not be perfect but I don't have any other vector graphic program.

Thank you for the tip on this.It sounds like just the way that I myself could use, if not immediately have time to do the family tree. A bit like a note in the gallery :)

disneygirl and MarkA , truly stunning family trees, great job
