Sent my computer to the Geo Council...

Sooo I haven't ever found a thread saying this happened to anyone else, and I've not experienced anything like it so I thought I would share.

My sim was playing video games on her computer when I had her send some crystals to the geo council (to test and see if they will come back in the mail, as I'm suffering from this known glitch since the update) and suddenly... her computer was gone. More interesting, the notification of sending the crystal to the Geo Council, had the computer's thumbnail on it instead of the crystal! PLUS the crystal she was supposed to send was still in her inventory! It straight mailed her computer away!!
Since I don't use money cheats, and this is a poor new family it was a big bummer, lol, they saved so long for that computer!!

...well I'm off to sell more UFO fruit and buy a computer. ;o)
Oh also, I am rather interested to see if anything gets mailed back. I wonder what kind of element a computer would turn into )

I did have the sim go to a different lot and come back to see if that would help (like it does for items that dissappear when you place them oddly) and nope. It was for sure mailed away. So strange.

UPDATE:
I am getting crystals back normally, but nothing happened with the computer. Perhaps the Geo Council Gods just needed a technological sacrifice.

That is very strange and also kind of funny. I never get any crystals back in the mail anymore either. Maybe I should sacrifice a computer too

Wow that never happen to me and I do get my crystals back in a protective casing lol but never lost my computer lol

Before you spill virgin computer blood on your lot, I had a thought!
I think what I did to fix my issue, with not getting crystals back, is worth a shot to see fi it works for you too. It's really easy and though I can't guarantee for certain it's what did the trick...it may have been!
Try this:
If you have any easter eggs in your sims personal inventory...don't. Sell them, put them in your house, or in your home's inventory. Then, close your game (save of course) and do a quick origin REPAIR. Go back to the game, send a crystal and await to see if it worked!

If you try it let me know if it worked or not

Thesims bugs are are really silly. It remembers be of one bug i had when playing ThesimsMedieval. My sims couldnt leave or enter the castle area sometimes past the initial stairs , but for some reason, removing or puting the dinning table from the kitchen on the second floor from 45 degree to full horizontal would break the invisible barrier...for whatever reason..
