System requirements

Does anyone have any clue what the system requirements may be for the sims 4? The sims 3 really upped its game from the sims 2 so I'm thinking there may be a big leap again?

I would imagine so but there hasn't been any information released on this. However if you look at sims past sims 1 to sims 2 was a large leap but sims 2 to sims 3 wasn't nearly as large so maybe sims 3 to sims 4 would be a very large leap like sims 1 to sims 2 was.

That's what I mean, half of us might not even be able to run it

More than half of us can barely run sims 3

I guess a lot of us a relying on this competition huh? Such a shame that alienware laptops aren't cheaper

Yeah, i think what i hope most is that they will get rid of the lag and have better load times in sims 4.

Or maybe it depends on the type of processor that you have

Whether you're amd or intel it would make a difference. Speed comes down to the amount of cores, threads and the ghz your processor is running at

I agree, but the more expansion and stuff packs added the more difficult it is to run the game, i wish they would fix this.

I'm very anxious to see what the min requirements will be, too. What Cupcake said makes a lot of sense. Those that play The Sims often do not play other games...so if they bump the requirements up too much, they will lose a lot of their fanbase. I still don't think my computer will run it, though! LOL

It's still early days anyway guys so I guess we'll know this kinda stuff around September time
