I really enjoy MMO's, but my problem is that I started with TERA.
For those of you who don't know TERA, it's incredibly beautiful and very well made.
The only downside it has is that it's a little laggy when in crowded areas, but that might just be because I'm playing on the US server from the EU, so I can play with my internet friends.
    The characters are really beautiful:

I've also been playing Wildstar, which is a lot less realistic, a bit more high paced and a lot of fun.
    This is my character:

His name is Vitani, and I'm playing on Archon EU if anyone else is interested in playing with me :)

What I really enjoy about Wildstar is that their character creation (clothes aside) is very detailed.
You can use different sliders to create the perfect face, which of course spoke a lot to my inner-simmer.
Their combat is a lot more high paced, there is a lot of dodging and jumping and if you fail to do so you'll die.
There's a lot more dying in Wildstar than there is in TERA, but they have a lot more resurrection spots to make up for it.

    What MMO's do you play?
    Any impressive screenshots to share?

Honestly... combat-wise, Dragon Nest is the best MMO for me. It has a really flexible combo system no other MMO today could pull off.

I somewhat quit playing it because it's become quite a grind fest for money and overall takes a large sum of my day away for what appears to be no benefits.

The PVP game mode is really well-done as well, I never played PVP in the game because the community is so toxic, you don't even know...

I tried PVP several times and every time I'd just get so angry because they could do some cheap shit to you when they feel they're on the losing side.

I've played alot of them. World of Warcraft, SWTOR, Guild Wars 1 & 2, Tera, DC Universe, Rift and countless others... in the past year me and @Gigi got into Final Fantasy XIV which was a blast... we were just too cheap to keep renewing our subscription lol.

But for us FFXIV and World of Warcraft are the 2 best MMO's we've been on... probably WoW because it's just got SO much content and lore to dive into it's crazy. World of Warcraft for me is the BEST mmo there ever was and quite possibly will ever be. :) Try it out if you haven't already! And I would say FFXIV is my second favourite if not joint favourite to WoW :D

I hate to run in here all old school, but I think the first true MMO was the best... anyone remember the original "Everquest"? That was the first, and spawned all the others. I spent hundreds of hours on that one, what a blast!

My mom bought me the original Everquest when I was a youngin, but I had a crappy Mac and dial-up so that was a no go. I was so disappointed.

I started playing World of Warcraft when it first came out, all the way up to MoP. So much has changed, some things that disappointed me, and some that impressed me. I intend to start playing again when WoD comes out on Nov. 13.

WoW is by far my MMO drug. It's expansiveness is probably one of the key aspects I enjoy, but there had not been anything I didn't enjoy about the game until recent years. The social aspect has always been really good for me and some servers developed somewhat of social cultures within them that is really fun to get engaged in. No mmo has offered Solo play that is as fun for me, and there's so many different objectives it's almost impossible to get bored, for me anyway. Classes in wow have been funner for me to learn and master than other mmo's, but I really miss the talent trees. I lived and breathed PVP in wow for a long time but some new BG's I don't enjoy so much. I will always have my soft spots for WG and AB.

I've also played Rift (complete knock off of wow, might I add), Tera (Beautiful game, terrific concepts, missed the mark in some areas for me though), and Guild Wars 2.

I completely agree, PvP was great fun in WoW! At least up until they added the BG's. That kind of ruined it for me... Guild Wars 2 was fun for a long time, and probably had the best PvP experience I have had in a MMO, with the huge battlegrounds and siege warfare. Sadly, the game gets old rather quick as it lacks true variety and customization IMHO.

I am hoping Elder Scrolls Online will fill my MMO needs when it gets released on ps4 early next year. (fingers crossed)

Right now i play two big and well uptdated MMOs.

One is Star-Wars : The Old Republic from Bioware/EA, awesome storyline to every single class and the dialogs choices are very intersting, force powers, instead of pets you have companion characters that are part of the story and often comment something when you get to key location around the several planets you can play in the galaxy, every choice you make count and helps you drive your avatar in the direction you want...also, STARSHIPS. Most of combat is typical to MMOs, but do not fool yourself, the nightmare is just sneaking by.

Never took screenshots myself, but found some in google, of course.

The Second is DCUO from SOE, DC Universe online is an amazing game to play, even trough you are often not the main protagonist and cannot change the personality of your character like in SWTOR, you can totally edit every combat aspect and personalize every cosmetic detail of your character, and the game is great to fill up your Ego too, as you go to become more powerfull than the entire set of heros or villains. You can change your armor so it has the equiped stats of a piece of higher level, when the piece shape that is shown is actually of a cooler-looking low-level gear. That kind of personalization, the amount of diferent super-powers skill-trees,weapons and more make totally IMPOSSIBLE to you preview what you are facing when you go into PVP and add up to the chanlege.

Both games can be played for free till the end of the level cap, and if you are patient, you will hardly have any feel of need for subscription in neither.

I really want to play everquest next but i dont see it coming anytime soon.
