Trash cannot be cleaned

    I have one rotting pile of trash in my study that will not go away. My Sim bags it up but then drops it right where it was, the maid does the same thing.
    The trash bin is empty and the mess is in the middle of the floor, I've even tried demolishing the room and the mess stays on the grass where the room used to be.
    Anyone have any ideas?
