About shoutbox

I know the site's been receiving some issues due to the shoutbox, so I've been wondering if by any chance it could be removed from the sidebar on the left when browsing threads and doing other things?

That should greatly reduce the load time since I'm sure when members aren't chatting there, they're posting threads and replies, essentially and unintentionally consuming the server resources needed to run the shoutbox.

I'm speaking out about this because of some similar cases I've had when running forum communities with shoutbox modules, disabling this feature everywhere other than the board index greatly conserved a lot of my server's resources. I work closely vBulletin forum software and IPBoard, I know a little bit about this forum's software as well.

Just sayin', I don't think it's primarily the frequency of members chatting there causing the issue, but the fact that there are members unintentionally loading the shoutbox on other pages other than the board index.

Some may agree, some may disagree, but I'm just voicing my opinion according to solutions that worked out for me, and possibly do the same here as well.
