I hope in the Sims 4 adopted siblings/kids aren't automatically 'counted' as biological children. I don't like it how in the Sims 3-if your Sim adopted a sim kid the sim kid 'magically' becomes birth-related to your Sim. The adopted kid even 'gasps' passes on his adopted parents' genes. I mean seriously?. The only way a person can keep track of whom is related to whom with adoptions is if, you, the player, writes down who is adopted.
Also shouldn't kids over the age of baby (aka toddler/children) have names already not to mention the fact of some kind of history of why they were in the off-screen orphanage in the first place?

I also think that there should be a difference.
Maybe different skin and hair colour and different traits oh and a pre-set name.
The difference is between the adopted kid and the adopter.

Technically what I meant by having a difference between an adopted kid vs. a biological kid I meant in the relationship panel and also in the family tree. I didn't mean via skin colour (that's pretty obviously) that's where the problem lies

That's what I like. It has to say / mark "adopted"on family tree. But imagine that if a player decided to play on an adopted adult Sim to marry to a brother or father?

That might not be allowed because the adopted child might see the family as real family.

maybe some adopted kids do see it that their adopted family is their real family. But others don't. So maybe not all adopted sims kids should be alike
