so, I was on twitter and SimGuruGraham posted this:
"On a side note related to money stuff (and I’m going to keep this short – the spacebar on my keyboard broke today and it’s really annoying typing), the consequences of not paying your bills is more severe now. Let your bills go without paying them? First your power gets shut off. Next your water gets shut off. It’s a fun scenario to put your Sims in on occasion (they recognize it and get some unique socials about it). The bill upkeep on more expensive homes is harsher than it’s been in the past as well, so you truly better be earning enough to support living in one. I hope both those things contribute to greater challenges when you put your Sims in those situations."

I support this 100%, it's a new way of making bills more important, and a fun way to see how sims would react.

He also said that there are going to be middle and high class neighborhoods and that we're going to start with 20K simoleons

What's your opinion on this? I really liked it

Personally, it's another feature of the game I'm really looking forward to! I think the Guru's have really thought things out for the next instalment of the Sims. It's becoming more life-like and hopefully more challenging.

I love the idea of more consequences of not paying bills - power and water shutting off. It's much better than having a repo man coming to take something away. It's easy enough to just replace it after they leave!

I also read that the values of properties in different neighbourhoods are going to be priced differently. It'll be nice starting in middle class, having my Sims work really hard to then be able to afford a property somewhere more upper class and have the next generation raised in that neighbourhood.

Good job Guru's! I hope we hear some more new interesting gameplay info soon.
