    when I download a file I cant put it into mod becasue it say I need the correct program to do it with. Is it not a zip?

    Hi hethna, welcome to the site :)

    When you download a mod from here, it should either be a .package file, a .zip file or a .rar file.

    If you download a .package file, then it's fine you don't need to extract anything, just drag it into your Sims 4 mods folder. HOWEVER, if the mod you downloaded is in a .zip or a .rar file you will need to extract it. My favorite extraction software is WINRAR.

    Once you have extracted from the .rar or .zip file, you should get a .package file. Drag the .package file or files into your Sims 4 mods folder then relaunch the game :)
