Hey Simmers!

Hi Guys! My name's Amanda, I started playing Sims in 2003 with the Original Sims PC Games!!! I've owned all the expansion packs in every generation and a few others on the GameCube/PS2/PS3 and other consoles. What an awesome way to ring in my 10 years of Sims by finding out about the Sims 4 to come next year!!!

One of my dream jobs that I've had for a long time is to be a SimGuru. I never knew the official name until a few years ago but being a SimGuru would be the best job ever!!!

Hello Amandaa I honestly got you two on the time playing the Sims... I was 9 years old when I started, meaning, when it came out in 2000 :lol:

Anyway, I'm also hoping for this year to go by fast, or we're all going to have an anxiety attack -_- (Hope not)

I'm so proud to say Sims was probably one of the leading roles of my childhood and I'm glad you guys all also have so many years of playing too! Most of the people I talk to only started playing in 2009 when Sims 3 comes out!

I've always been a big console gamer so when I got Sims; Bustin' Out for GameCube, I fell in love and between the PC and Console games, I was never bored!!!

To state the obvious, I can't wait for Sims 4!!! I am eagerly awaiting the trailer! After the announcement of the Sims 4 I had just been rewatching Island Paradise's trailer! Excited for that too!

Welcome to the site, I think I started simming around the same time, my dad got the games from a secret santa but never played, so I did. I can't believe it's been 10 years, have you ever played Sims Theme Park? It came with my dad;s gift and I enjoyed it as well but my computer is too new (5 years old) to install it so I can't play it any more.

I also have played just as long, wasn't lucky enough to get EVERY game (but I wish I did!)
I have always wanted to be apart of the whole Sims experience, and what a great way to do so as a SimGuru!!
I hope to talk to all of you at some point, and I share in your excitement as well- as long as the game isn't a total bust, and that when they go back to their roots, they don't miss anything that we have all grown to love as well.

Hi Plumdrop! Wow! How cool that you have been playing for ten years too! I didn't have any of the theme parks, ;; But! I did have SimCity 2000, still have it today! But I have not installed it on my desktop so I will have to see if it works! Wish me luck!

Hi SimsFreak2181 ! I spent all of my money as a child on Sims! Great investment! Definitely worth it! Haha!

I would love to be a SimGuru, I watch all of the live broadcasts and wish I could be doing them too!! Very jealous!

I don't think I've played SimCity 2000, but I have played SimCity 4 and I know for a fact it works on my 09 computer with Windows 7 so there is always that if it doesn't. I'm not sure but Steam not too long ago was having a sale on SimCity 4 for only $5.

I vaguely remember it to be honest, I need to get back into it. I'm moving this week so my computer is in a box as of the current moment, when I unpack I'll try it out and see! My desktop has Windows 7 too, so we will see how it goes!

One of my all time favorites is Urbz; Sims in the City for GameCube. They had it for DS, PS2, and xBox. That game is crazy nostalgic for me. One of my favorites off of the 3 Generations on the PC!

So glad to have you here, CityGirl! You reminded me of the time when my laptop had to be sent away for reformatting and I delved into the Sims on other consoles! Such fun memories.

That makes me think...I have yet to try the Sims on the iPad. Anyone know if it's any good?

Too much updating on tablets, and it always complains about not enough space when there is plenty.

Oh yeah! I have a lot from TTS (The Sims Series) but not all. Wish I had the money to do that!
I have watched all of the broadcasts too! SO jealous that they get to be apart of the development of the game! How cool would it be to be able to 1. help develope and 2. be able to play the game before everyone else?!

Trying to keep caught up with the third generation!!! Can't wait for Island Paradise and the Future expansion pack to be released this fall! I'm also excited for Dragon Valley!

I am jealous too! I wish I could be doing the broadcasts, it's super fun to think about! I would love to do that, I've been thinking about possibly making videos on Youtube and me playing Sims while talking, similar to a broadcast but just me babbling about my Sims and experiences and stuff.

I hear you on that one! I wish I could be apart of the team so I could pitch in ideas that Simmers have a universal want for. They do a great job as it is but I think we all have some pretty neat ideas! I love how they connect with us through Facebook and Youtube about updates and changes as soon as they take place! I love feeling apart of the loop as a Simmer!

That sounds like a great idea! I've tried to do that, but it heats up my computer (that's where the contest would come in handy if I won... I want to contribute more, and I've always wanted to do a Let's Play video (or series)...)

I hear ya there! It's like, they say that it's all about what the fans and Simmers want, but it's like they turn a blind eye or deaf ear to some amazing ideas! Like... bringing back Open for Business, or Bon Voyage, and other cool ideas for EPs and SPs... usually I don't buy Stuff Packs because they don't enough content in it for it to be worth $19.98, but if they took this opportunity to listen to avid fans and Simmers, especially those who are broadcasting LPs and Reviews, maybe they could take notes for TS4?

Me too! That would be awesome to be part of their communications/Community interns and let the team know like, "This is what they want, how can we incorporate that into the game, whether it be in The Sims 3 or The Sims 4?" Kinda like that. Just be like, this is what they want, how are you going to fulfill that for them?
