How do you approach building?

Yeah, I've hated starting houses and finding they were in the wrong place. I'm going to love being able to just pick one up and move it. I'm also going to love the new roofing tools. I've always had a hard time with roofs. It's the main reason I never put a lot up on the Exchange.

I've been building a lot of houses in TS3 lately with no intention to actually play in them (just out of boredom). I am suddenly realizing the value of TS4's auto-furniture feature. I can spend 3 hours building a house and focusing on the outside, but I have NO damn patience for furnishing it when all i want to do is move some random neighbor in there.

I make whatever pops into my head when I build the house , and sometimes that Is an oversized box with crap piled in it, or a castle. Loooooots of hallways and stuf in my Sims futures. I'm planning to progress the Sims from a early 17th century kingdom to the modern Willow Creek. Should keep me busy , and i'll have to find a way to destroy the castle at some point in a really dramatic way.
