I lurk at MTS, I actually really like that forum but I'm not brave enough to post there. Whatcha talking about? I know the majority don't seem to like Sims 4 but I haven't seen any discussion about modding? Or I missed it. That could happen since I only look at the chat thread.

Maybe because I'm not a modder, I don't see things right? I consider them sort of like hackers (there are different flavors of hackers but they are called "hats" like a red hat, black hat, white hate, blue hat etc and that's based off the kind of hacking they do). So, to me the modders are like hackers and one thing almost all hackers have in common is that they like the world to not only see their work but know they did it.

Taking that mentality, if I were a modder? I would want to storm the game and be the next Twallan. I would want people to whisper my name in awe because I was the trail blazer that saved the game, I was first.

The last time I poked my head into a thread, there were quite a few people complaining about TS4 but I really don't hang out over there so I wasn't sure if they were really upset or not. It's really the only sims modding community I know of. I'm not a member (I don't think--I remember thinking about getting some mods once but I don't remember if I joined to get more info or not) so I don't really spend time there unless someone posts a link.

Well it was a while ago when I saw that but maybe either they have been deleted or just died down but I don't know.

As some may have guessed, a small amount of the negativity from TS3 forums has leaked to the Sims 4 forum on the official EA website. Which is something I was afraid of...

I've had a feeling that would happen because people post links on those forums to here and the simmers come there. and due to the fact that the forums are down it's very sure that they will bring all of the bs there and i'm not sticking around to see any of that

I haven't noticed any major degree of negativity on this site. Perhaps on the official EA website for Sims 4, which is what I think Biotic was saying but the boards here seem to be civil, at least in my opinion. It seems most people are enjoying themselves here.

Haha no problem. I'm just a regular here, no mod or anything but I've kept a pretty good eye on these boards and was about to say, if there has been someone being extremely negative or attacking others, I'd want to know about it lol! Glad you're still enjoying it here.

I guess they have no we're else to go, I guess considering the fact that many other forums would frown upon the idea of them starting things.
And even with The Sims 3 Forums now transforming into The Sims 4 forums, its going to be a while before things calm down. Besides, that forum crashes constantly so i doubt they will get far.

I don't see how anyone can get into the EA forums--every time I try to access them, I get an error message. I think once every 3 or 4 times I go there, I can actually get it work.

Not a thing has changed, not really sure why they felt the need to take it offline. I keep spying on them to see what they're doing, it must all be behind the scenes. Avatars haven't changed in forum either.

Oh, I was actually talking about the TS4 forums on the official EA site rather than the subforum in the TS3 forums--I can still get on there. But every time I try to access the "official" TS4 forums on forums.ea.com, I get gobbledygook.

But, the last time I checked the TS4 subforum, it looked to me like they'd deleted a couple of threads because I could've sworn the missing items thread was higher on the first page than where it's showing now (at the very bottom of the first page).

Ah, gotcha....well....I get a different view of the official ea.com forum. I am a retired mod there (PM me if you must have the proof and I'll give you my contact information). So, I've never had issues with that forum. I had some very bad experiences over there and will NEVER GO BACK as a poster. It's why the thought that it could be the official forum? Sends cold chills down my spine.

I, honestly, never looked all that hard at the TS3.com forum so couldn't tell you if it's changed. It just sort of looks the same to me, I thought the Team Demoless club was the last post made? Could be wrong.

That doesn't sound good, what happened? (If you don't mind me asking?)
