I'm wanting to become Self-Empolyed So I'm doing research

    I am currently doing my business plan right now & i have reached a point where i need to ask people on what they want from a company. What i am offering are Media based products such as: Sketches, Documentaries / Reports, Stop-Start Animations, Podcasts & Soundscapes. What i want to know is..what would you want from a Media Personnel, what would you buy that is Media based? It can be anything..anything at all. This may help bring up ideas that i've forgot about [​IMG] ..
    It can be as many as you want or as little.

    Plus also how much would you like to pay for a product?
    £10? £20? £30? More?

    For media, soundscapes, sketches and podscasts? I'd pay about uh.... £0.00 :p there's way too much free entertainment out there at the moment and art. I will pay for blockbuster movies or video games though.

    But i mean it has proper work..If you was interested in a Audio Drama would you pay for it? Or if you listened to a preview then thought "Oh this is alright" would you pay?

    But yeah i know what you mean..so much free podcasts..I got to think about another route for that :confused:

    that kind of thing also, your best bet is creating a brand image, promoting it whilst delivering some fun content... and once people follow what you have to offer, then get in touch with advertisers who want to work with you I guess. Thats how most radio and tv stations work as far as consumable media goes... it's all about the ads and the brand/show itself.

    People will rarely want to buy the media unless its exceptional and something they can't get anywhere else. Just my 2cents. Just have to brainstorm on how to monetise.

    well I have splashed out on some audiobooks this past year... so I definately see the appeal now I come to think of it. But the audio drama would have to be exceptional and get me hooked. The way if you ask me to make it successful is list the first one for free so you can get it out to as many people as possible... then once people are hooked - charge for the ones after.

    Mhm i know, I'm getting sessions & will attend workshops to get the ball rolling so i'm not exactly on my own (honestly i really need them i'm at the starting point just planning) - It'll be tough but I'll get there. I'm sure there is a alternative to getting paid while people get things for free..yeah i'm sure of it.
