List of 78+ Officially CONFIRMED Missing/Downgraded BASE features of the Sims 4

Its the nickname I gave him on the sims 3 forums. I always read his name as bfluffy and he kind of reminds me of stewie with his toddler profile pic and he had some conspiracies he posted over there.

Why would EA fess up about something they did not do. I explained about the whole online thing but people won't listen and I really don't want to personally attack someone and say what I know about them on the internet. I won't stoop to their level. Plus there are some legal things.

I can tell you honestly that EA wants people to like their games and to build customer loyalty. It is about the shareholders and it isn't. There are other things in the works.

Except by putting it into your post, you're specifically speaking to people who know the context from the discussion at MTS. If the point of your thread is simply to educate people on what's missing, having that quote on your thread muddies the waters. Your average Joe (not you, @JoeWow1003 ) won't be involved with MTS or have the context needed to understand what you're getting at. It's simply a way for you to vent (or crow about your thread being so well known a guru would make a couched comment about it). Either way, it's not helping someone who doesn't have all the facts get any more facts.

SleepyD2k, I read your list and while I do appreciate the feedback, I believe most of these are opinions. I have also explained multiple times why terrain tools and a flat lot are not the same, and would apply the same logic to no cars and garages. Also, I don't believe it is fair to say something wasn't cut like newspapers, when you say it was replaced with something like computers as both were in Sims 3. Same logic applies to the fact that you could browse the store in game and out of game in Sims 3, but now just in game with Sims 4.

I can't reply to everything, but here is some additional feedback:

I'm sorry, but I don't see how this makes it sound like you can only edit 2 lots. It says there are 2 empty lots and that you can't place more lots. No one thinks the game has only 2 lots period. Its very clear. But to be fair, I will change it to say 2 empty lots "at the start".

I know I would angry many people if I took off "Move Object" because you claim they have two other options. If they felt those two options were sufficient there wouldn't have been complaints from the camp AND they wouldn't have already mentioned they are trying to add it back in.

I don't think ANYONE would consider the NPC management system (if that is a thing?) as a replacement for story progression. I am sorry, but I just don't see it.

The reason you don't see "no wants" on this list is because (trying to be fair) they really were replaced by whims. However, whims do not in any way touch on fears. Its just not the same type of gameplay.

Finally, the comment about Will Wright was the one easter egg in the list. Trust me, it was a lot nicer than what some others have suggested I put on this list. But congrats on finding it

The point of my list foremost is to educate, but at the same time I am not going to be bullied by Graham and let him talk so rude about it (or similar list).

To be fair my only conspiracy theory was after a night of drinking and it wasn't even serious. I can't remember the topic (we were joking I believe), but Jules suggested it was a conspiracy and that is when I changed the title and had fun with it. I am not frequently the conspiracy type

The comment offers a good transition to the list, thats why I like it. It also gives me a great chance to explain that removing a feature or two is acceptable (which I say in my very polite response).

If anything I would think you would be more upset with my snarky remarks at the end, rather than my response to Graham.

Your first comment is BS. There's no need for a transition into the list because the purpose of the post is supposed to BE the list according to you. Everything is just you waffling on about whatever you're going on about with some clarification about how accurate everything is to the best of your ability. You don't need a transition into a list that you're using the beginning of your post to explain about.

I believe I've commented a few times on your snarky remarks all over the place. I kinda thought I was being clear when I suggested both you and @JoeWow1003 be more neutral in your comments in the threads that my suggestion would include the whole OP, not just certain parts of it. You BOTH responded with excuses as to why you thought it was ok to not be neutral. I honestly don't really care if you both want to post every opinion you've got for or against the game in your threads but it's disingenuous to innocently claim it's purely for education reasons when it's obviously more than that for both of the lists.

When you say flat lots, you give off the impression that the entire world is flat and that is not the case. I believe public spaces have sculpted terrain. That is why I said change it to player sculpted terrain and terrain sculpting tools.

As far as garages, a player built a garage and a driveway and used a toy car in the game to represent a car. There are no garage doors in the game but they would go under cars rather than just in general. There really isn't a need for garage doors and driveways without cars.

I think it is more than two lots because both Oasis Springs and Willow Creek. I haven't done the research to be 100% sure. When I first read it I thought you meant only two lots in the base game.

I don't want you to take the item off the list, I just want you to list alternative/replacement features next to them so that players know they have not been fully removed and there is an alternative.

It really isn't a replacement, it is more of an alternative system.

As far as wants and fears go, they worked together as a system in the game. I don't think it is fair to include one and exclude the other. It was an entire aspiration system. I know I am making the list longer but I think you should include both because whims function differently than the wants and fears system. Whims are based on emotions. Wants and fears are based more on the aspirations and personality points of the Sims.

I'm growing tired of having to defend what for the most part is accurate and true. Its clear I can't make absolutely everyone on the planet happy. Its unfortunate, but I am guessing your just one of them at this point. I have tried to work with you and have made many many changes at your suggestion. But I am drawing the line at removing the quote. I want it there not because I feel it is negative, but rather that there is slight chance it may embarrass him so that he thinks twice before making such comments in the future. Period.

I know some of the facts about what went down but I am not going to go there again because I don't want to cause any trouble and it really doesn't matter at this point. The game is still releasing and hopefully it will sell well.

Umm that EA has other things in the works and they are trying to build customer loyalty? Okay, once they start working for EA or knows someone who works for EA then these millions of people could let me know.

The comment that gives off the impression the world is flat is something that we were in the process of rewording on Friday. We just haven't finished those updates, but we agree there has been feedback that it gives the impression the entire world is flat when it shouldn't.

I do think your correct about the two "towns" if you find the number of lots total, that would be great and I will update it.

I will work on how we can incorporate alternates and replacements. I just can't justify removing it completely if you had 2 options in Sims 3 and now you have only 1 option. Let me think on this a little more.

Ha, I don't even recall but that dude is crazy. He is convinced everyone is Indento (or however you spell that guys name). I mean literally he accuses EVERYONE and believes the guy is out just to get him. Its almost like a comic book.
