The can i run it website says I should upgrade my cpu. I have an i7 4500u. I thought i7 (which I have) was better than i5. Sigh.....Am I going to have to get a computer with an i5 cpu?

Well it said i5 or faster, so the game should run.

i7 is better. One thing I heard about that SystemsRequirementsLab website (Can I Run It) is that sometimes they try to get you to just spend money and upgrade your computer.

I had plenty of games that turned out just fine despite what they said.

If you have an i5 and 4 GB of RAM as they said you should be fine. I say buy the game and see if it runs fine.

Is the demo playing fine on it? If so there is a good chance the full game will.

Those are optimal system requirements. You could have a slightly weaker PC and still get the same performance as the optimal system specs by EA

    You'll be fine! :)

Yeah that Can I Run It site is a big scam. It tried to tell me I couldn't run the Sims 3 . I have i7 as well so we'll be fine.

I agree that Site"Can I run it" suxs....I had that same issue with Sims 3 and when I got the game I had no problems...I wonder if they just have that site to get people to spend money on things they might not really need?...anyway hope you enjoy your sims4 experience :D

When SimsVIP wrote up the specs for "recommended" hardware it said i5 cpu, i just got a computer with i3 and i went by the original "at least" not relising so you are going to be just fine. I know I will but it will just do lower setting. I won't be able to do "ultra" settings I guess. :(

I Can Run It failed to tell me that my power supply or motherboard (please not both!) is dying, but Sims 4 sure let me know! Computer heading in for repairs today. I'll have to "borrow" my son's computer in the rec room in the meantime ;) (His Sim is days ahead of mine!!)
