Natural Disasters

Ok, I'm making this official because I think I'm onto something.

An expansion pack of natural disasters!

We already have the meteorites, okay (remembering SimCity 4 and the comets) but what about tornadoes, really heavy rain that would go in houses, volcanoes, thunderstorms, blizzards, etc. They may come with a Seasons Expansion or a Pack of their own.

For volcanoes and tornadoes, every house of a newly created world would have a basement for protection of sims, and maybe an underground garage. Then, when the catastrophe was done, all their roofs would be destroyed, the card that stayed outside would be against the houses and such.

Thunderstorms may be asking way too much because of the massive visual effects, but it would be cool to watch one, even if it's just on top of the sea.

OK, I know that I'm getting too Sim-Assassin, but I know for sure that I don't need Hypnotherapy yet

Yeah, quite the coincidence.

I'm not sure if it should be an expansion all its own...but perhaps part of a "Weather" expansion. I really love the idea of random acts of God/Mother Nature causing events and challenges in the game.

I agree, I can't think of what else would be included to make it an expansion on it's own.

I thought of it being an expansion of it's own because there would be so much interactions, visual effects and after-effects with the disasters that it would be at least 2GB...

With expansions there is also sometimes skills and usually CAS content.

Rain coats, bikinis, Lightning Maniac, Tornado Maniac, Meteorologic Center, Meteorologist, new build tools to make a house earthquake resistant... those sort of things

I'd play it, rain jackets would be cool, and when it got super windy their umbrellas could turn inside out, if not it's own EP it could just be an awesome version of TS4 Seasons.

Yeah, me too. I was actually thinking about that umbrella thing... Had it happen to me so many times that it would be so cool if in the sims could also happen *O*

Yeah, and again with the wind, sims could struggle to walk outside with it being strong.

I remember a certain storm that happened about 7 years ago here in Angola, the wind was so strong that I had to grad things so I could walk :blink:

Damn that's really strong, we have stormy weather over here now, but not that stormy.

Tropical storms are the most frightening things, specially when you live on the coast...

Yeah I bet, I live like 3 hours West of the coast, and no where near the tropics.
