Sims 4: Loading Screens & The World Explained

So, I'm more than disappointed now. I knew loading screens will be in the game, and I knew there'd be ones for going to different neighborhoods. Now I find out there's going to be loading screens LOT to LOT. What the hell, EA!

I'm hoping story progression will be available for NPCs like aging is, but knowing how EA is on a track record with disappointments, it won't happen. Here I was having decent hopes for the game to be good. Now I'm not sure I even want the game.

It seems trivial to be upset about loading screens but it's the one thing I always HATED about the sims 2. I was ECSTATIC that the sims 3 had no major loading screens, and now we're reverting to the old, hated ways. Lovely.

I'm sorry, rant time is over. I was okay with the loading screens because I figured more than one lot would be loaded. Now... blegh.

im starting to think about going and getting my money back from my pre order and use it on a tent for camping something that wont have a loading screen.

This is not really new info, that information was already out for some weeks.

I recall several players, including me, requesting a splited neighborhood like the one we have in TS4 and i quite like that. District and area-based neighborhoods etc. Several discussions about aging, progression and loading screens. For the first time it at least look like that at least one community idea was used. How that will change things inside game, if our theories really work, we will have to play it to find out (We = me and other players that sugest something like that).

Why we requested it ? well, i myself was tired with the letdowns of TS3 open hood, altrough other players did not want to get rid of it enterly but also missed TS2 closed hood good features such as lots with many sims wille sims3 lots are empty most of time. Also, i hate rabitholes in TS3, wich do not exist in TS4.

As for loading screens, sory, but i dont see how someone who hates loading screens so much can play any game or even use a computer. Loading times is not a problem to me as i surely waited a lot wille a lot turned "active" in Thesims3. There is no such a thing as a game without loading screen.

I think we need to actually see how it works. I know people are reacting negatively, but I really have a feeling that it's going to be much less an issue that many think. I've read the article and tweets and to me I think it's not a bad thing. I'm not a huge fan of TS2's load screens, but these are different. I do think that once some actual gameplay is released, people will feel less opposed to them.

Agreed. I am all this time yelling for a Dev walktrough or any actual gameplay video to be released. But knowing EA is easier to wait for Letsplay videos after release.
