What kind of expansion packs should there be for the Sims 4?

And if I don't see seasons in the base game, or any of those, I would flip out.

Prepare to flip out and I'll prepare to be surprised.

I'm not expecting anything really, so I know I will be happy with whatever that's included.

There are some things I'm really hoping for , but over all I think I will be pleased from what I saw. I already know I'll love how the new CAS works.

I would definitely love to see a Superstar themed Expansion Pack make an appearance in The Sims 4.
Only request would be that it's more like Superstar and less like Showtime.

I would love to see one focused on the places, like jail and crime. Unless you were in the Criminal Career, you never went to jail, even if you were caught being a klepto. I think there should be one making the world around us a more vibrant place. All expansions do that to a certain point, but usually they have a focus. I am talking about focus on the town and make that better.

I've always associated the late night and night life expansions to be the superstar expansion. I have no doubt in my mind that it will again make an appearance in sims 4

I really hope so! With Maxis being back on-board with the creation process, I'm hoping we'll see a lot of things that go back to basics (just...more advanced). It kind of irritates me that there will be (95% sure) Expansion Packs that will pop up yet again that have been created already. For starters, we're most likely to see Seasons for a third time, Pets for a fourth time, some sort of Vacation-themed pack for a fourth time, perhaps University for a third time, and somewhere along the line Magic/Supernatural Powers will be included in the game for a fourth time.

Don't get me wrong, I love having these Expansions, as you feel the game is quite empty without weather, pets etc... But these ideas are tired now, if they are going to do them, add something extra extra special that will differentiate it from the predecessors.

I just don't understand the irritation a lot of people have with repeat expansions all of a sudden it's been happening since sims 2. I've never expected any different as long as they keep bringing new things to the table. That's why I loved Island Paradise so much, it was completely new. I would just rather buy as we go along with the series could you imagine how expensive the base would be with the basic expansions in it? plus not everyone wants to pay the extra money for a specific expansion.

People getting irritated probably relates to money. For example with Pets, we'll be spending another £20-30 on something we've pretty much already played and experienced three times over, just with different graphics and a few interaction changes. To me, there has been little change from the dogs and cats I bought in Unleashed to those I bought in TS3: Pets. A few additions here and there in the form of tricks, a horse and perhaps a bird. All games have been more or less similar and brought little to the table. People will be once again spending money on something they already have. This is just my general opinion, I've seen people saying this before though.

For every expansion costing $20-30 tack on that price to the already $60 base pack you would be paying the same money anyways EA won't sacrifice a penny for their fans' happiness.

Yeah I hate it in the developer videos when they say they are actual simmers and they always give their fans what they want. A few times, I called bullshit. I believe that some of them are real simmers, especially the ones in the developer videos, but they are always held back by their boss who is always on their back, or people saying no to their ideas.

Simmer developer: Hey let's put in cruise ships and summer vacation for kids in The Sims 3: Island Paradise!

EA Drone or fatbutt boss who is all about $$$: No that'd be too much. It is The Sims! These fools are thirsty for more content! Just throw in resorts with few features and a new world and they'd buy it right up! Plus great idea for possible expansions! Maybe that can be the basis for The Sims 3: Luxury Life and The Sims 3: Vacations.

Months later:

Simmer Developer: Are we still going to do the cruise ships or summer vacations? I have a lot more ideas.

EA drone: No we talked it over with our analyists and investors, it would not be worth it.

They could do it sell the Island Paradise expansion then sell the cruise ships are store content. More bang for their buck lol.

I'm glad someone said it! I find the content included in the games quite mediocre. Some outfits/hairstyles are nice, but I still don't feel there's enough variety. I'm really hoping that the 'focus' on the Sims themselves that is being claimed this era doesn't just relate to the new Emotions gameplay, I hope it actually includes stuff like Hair, Accessories, Clothes etc...

I doubt Custom Content will ever be rid of; if there's a will there's a way.

As long as they improve loading times I'll be happy.

That would be so good, but I think we'd be living in a fantasy world if we believed we'd get all that in the Base Game.
I completely agree though, I don't wanna be playing for a week then deciding I'm fed up with it because it's more or less the same. Really hoping for some fantastic stand out features this time around.
