Gigi- such a beautiful sight to see! :D It feels surreal that the game is coming soon enough for the pre-downloads to be starting.

Preloading on computer #1 now, planning to preload on computer #2 later tonight. That gives lots of time if it glitches :)

I would, but I'm not worthy. That, or I'm from Europe and can't pre-load before Sep 1st because, you know, internet latency or whatever bogus reasons they're using for the whole "not-worldwide-release-date" stuff.

I bet you the Sims producers are running around like crazy with a knot in their stomach. All game producers tend to be frantic/nervous/slightly ill the closer to release day and major public opinion. Then someone(s) has to make sure that all games ship statewide and then worldwide. I wish they'd feature this process on an episode of How Its Made. Would love a peek inside the factory that took on packaging for this monster.

Also, I preordered the disc so no preload for me. I am hoping the game performs 100x better than Sim 3 as far as glitches/crashes but I have found it is faster and more efficient, at least for me, to download the game from a disc and at that price I need something to hold onto. lol :dead:

That is how I feel with most games. I play console games and I will never buy a game over the PS4 digital only. What if they decide to take the game off for whatever reason, and it has happened before. Will I still have access to my game even if I do erase it from my console?

But with Origin, I thought and thought about it. I got Simcity physical and once you are forced to put that code into Origin, that disc becomes useless. I guess the only way the disc will be good for Origin games is if EA decides to stop the Origin service one day.

I just finished preloading ^.^ . Also, like @Gigi said, I never buy physical copies of PC games anymore. Between steam and Origin, the CD's themselves becomes rather useless. Even if Steam or Origin went away some day, most of the games still wouldn't work because they require Origin to play.

    CANCELED
So I had my Sims 4 preorder for the premium edition ordered since July 31st. Luckily, Amazon does not charge you for preorders until they are good and ready to be shipped. Decided to cancel and go with the Origin digital order. Gigi made a good point. You have to register with Origin to play anyway so its not like the disc will get you around it. Also, the Amazon Premium version is a full $10 more than Origin. Sure you get the guide but I don't need it. Never used one before. Lastly, when the game is significantly cheaper--say a year or two from now I can always order the disc version. I have a Mac in addition to a PC so I would probably order the disc when the Mac version comes out. Preload ONWARD! *maniacal laughter*:roflmao:

I ordered the Premium Edition off Amazon, so no, I hadn't start the download yet. I don't mind waiting for it to come in the mail as I need to start getting more sleep and work on other things soon (I know that the game will be a distraction for awhile lol). I will look forward to playing it once it does come in.
